I ordered a Ledger Joker head off ebay to practice painting with, and I was curious what the best way to paint his makeup might be.
Mike Yuan’s look like real makeup on a human, with the way it has realistic clean cracks/breaks where Ledger’s wrinkles form.
How is that achieved? Specifically the exposed skin under his left eye here, and the skin colored pores showing through the makeup all over the forehead.
Is it a mixture of some dry brushing? I’ve painted 1/12 Ledger Jokers, but they always looked like the white was clearly painted on in separate shapes rather than actual cracking makeup.
Thanks
