There are A LOT of great Trek items buzzing around. Several different versions of the sculpts, uniforms, accessories, etc....
But what about the man who created it all? Where's the Gene Roddenberry sculpt to add to the collection?
WGP says they'll make any sculpt that gets to 16 folks interested.
So.... Who's interested?

I know he's as tied to Trek as Lucas to Star Wars, but no one would want to add Gene to their collection of nanjin, Spenser, SFM, mego, Star Trek figures?
And he'd look great in battle againstthe old Hot Toys lucas! :lol

Check with SFM. I think this is one of the heads that was started to be part of thier line. Some sculpts were put on hold when they weren't able to secure the ST license. Last I heard they were being finished in a few months.

I haven't been able to connect with them in a while, but when last we spoke Roddenberry wasn't mentioned, nor had he ever been as part of what they were releasing.
I'll have to try and get ahold of them again.

Don't take my word for it. I just remember seeing several Robot Chicken sculpts at the sculptor's studio of Lucas, Speilberg, Cameron, Hitchcock, and others. I ask them if they ever thought about doing Roddenberry. I thought they said they had started one, but that it was on hold. Maybe just wishful thinking on my part.

Well I know Lucas was done. Hitchcock was made by Ada Chan and Headplay [who I think were also doing Cameron?], I have a custom Spielberg and I think one of the other companies were doing him. Serling was done. Roddenberry does seem possible, but the only one I ever saw was prototype that someone else on this board won on ebay [and I lost :( ]
