ACII Ezio head sculpt(s) replacement for 1/6 HT figure

HEY THERE!

We got a suggestion for those who are dissatisfied with HotToys’ Ezio head sculpt and would like to replace it with something more authentic and less "dead looking". I think that if you're in touch with the Assassin's Creed II game then you don't need to be explained that the original sculpt looks like a young Italian murderer as much as tomato looks like a cucumber... If you would like to dig into the details you'll find that Ezio appears in the game as a hybrid of a typical Italian type and the main features from Desmond/Altair (whose prototype was fashion model Francisco Randez).



We'd like to see two heads:

A. Serious, somber and strong-willed Ezio.

- The feature of this HS is the presence of flattened hair for its better placement under the hood of the figure.

B. Sarcastic, sassy and likable Ezio.

- The feature of this HS will be highly detailed hair sculpture with the fringe on the right side of the face.
- This one primarily implies to displaying your figure hood down.

The project will be brought to life by Ukrainian studio Maximus Miniatures.
They're experienced enough with this scale and already proved themselves in several projects:

The project will start in early April 2012.
Prior to that we need to determine the participants so this will be carried out in two stages:

1) POLL
It is important for studio to know whether it makes sense to sculpt both heads. You are free to take a set or only one of two but if number of willings for one will be too small then the chances of its production will sharply fall.

2) Taking the deposits (before the end of March)

Prices:
One panted head will cost around $100 + shipping.
There will be a discount on the set of two heads.
Requires non refundable deposit of $50 for each head ordered.
Prices may slightly vary depending on the number of list members.


*There will be some pleasant bonus for everyone who'd preordered the head and sent the deposit.
Those users will get the special named (with your forum nickname) "codex page styled" certificate with Assassins' emblem.

Will you sculpt one without hair, so the hood will sit properly on his head?

Not without the hair at all, but the haircut would be pretty flat on the head A (serious and strong-willed Ezio), like Antonio Banderas LOL. On the head B the haircut would be sculpted with the full in game likeness.

Oh, sorry, I forgot to say: me and RIDDICK will supervise this project.

Also, you will be able to get it without any deposit, but there will be no signature Codex-like certificate.

As V-R said you guys will be able to deposit after the first pics of the prototype.

Don't forget that after that you can influence on the process of sculpting with your thoughts!

Also there is a small chance you can get any of these HS with some facial hair :wink1:
It'll be a special version of painting you can specify in advance.
The more interested the higher the chance.

Oh! Indeed, I forgot to say that there will be any of 2 heads painted with beards, if you would like to get Ezio from the very end of AC2. It wont be sculpted, just very dense bristle painted on the headsculpt. But this option is only for the special order with the deposit, common heads would be shaved well.

Awesome idea, I'd love to see a sculpt made for each of those Ezio faces.

I would definitely like to see a prototype sculpt first though for at least one of the sculpts, otherwise I wouldn't want to spend $100 with a $50 deposit without a guarantee that it would turn out as expected.
