With the imminent & much anticipated release of Iminime's Butch & Sundance figures I propose an interest list for a commission of Rocco Tartamella designed Robert Redford & Paul Newman as Butch & Sundance sculpts.

With the construction his rubber Indy hat & removable hair - these will be a six piece sculpt.
1. & 2. Hats ; 3. & 4. Heads ; 5. & 6. Hair

We'd better try to fill the 20 THEN start asking for deposits... although Rocco will take deposits & commence work at qty 10

If we were to push on with this and offer clothing - would the "Sojourn Over The Border" gear be acceptable?

So next stage then... We've been in touch with SMcG Customs and with their/his help, I reckon the clothing could be made possible (as well as numerous accessories).

Are any interested parties above, staying on the list for fully kitted figures, as well as Rocco's Headsculpts?

Here's where discussion is needed, what body do you all prefer? Hats - printed or injection moulded. Discuss:

I hear ya Mnl_actionfigures - I certainly could be talked into the US style outfits as this, to me, would make for a Hole In The Wall Gang set up (I'm talking years rather than weeks tho)... The bowlers n Victorian suits would be a great looking second choice, but without their six shooters I'd personally feel something was missing!

Lets discuss here which would be preferable outfits - "across the border" or "US style"

What's the difference between Printed and injection molded hats? I would just be displaying these with hats so they would probably need to be cast as part of the portrait to have the right kind of a look because a separately printed hat could not simply fit on a haired portrait (if that's what this is about). Maybe if there was an interchangeable top if the head it would allow for both options, and even the option to do the bowlers they wore in a couple of scenes. As for the outfits, I still prefer the classic SotB looks shown in 90% of the promo stills. These are the first western figures I'd consider getting 1:6 horses for.

US style clothing would be my choice. The suits really don't interest me at all.

What's the difference between Printed and injection molded hats? I'm going to guess having used only the latter from shop-bought items and say that the 3Dprinted ones could be sized correctly by the person creating the heads... this to me would be immediate and less time consuming (aside from the usual time consuming factor of getting the look exactly right). The injection mold - perhaps needs further clarification from SMcG before deciding - I would imagine it only working, if the makers had precise measurements and there would need extra precautions to save shrinkage on the final cast.

I would just be displaying these with hats so they would probably need to be cast as part of the portrait to have the right kind of a look because a separately printed hat could not simply fit on a haired portrait (if that's what this is about). Same - I'd be looking hatted figures! I'd imagine something along the lines of Indy's DX05 head - it would begin adding complications that would not necessarily be insurmountable... would perhaps a hat with the rest of the hair attached, be the way to fly on this? The heads could be designed and created bald and the hair could be 1. attached to the hat and 2. a total hairpiece for the head.
Otherwise its half-haired head plus wearable hat versus total haired head plus empty hat.

Maybe if there was an interchangeable top if the head it would allow for both options, and even the option to do the bowlers they wore in a couple of scenes. As for the outfits, I still prefer the classic SotB looks shown in 90% of the promo stills. Hope we're skipping Bowlers.

Butch-Cassidy-and-the-Sundance kid(1).jpg Same!!! Beauty of these would be both could be on their own ride - or both could fit onto one horse as in the escape scene...

That'd be cool Rocco, sense Butch and Sundance do have quite a lot of scenes without their hats on and that's personally how I'd display Butch.
