I'm running a few ideas past Mr. X, and of course a screaming sculpt is in the discussion.

Since he's such an expressive character, ideally he should get a regular sculpt with a DX option. I'm just not sure how neutral the regular sculpt should be. I was thinking along the lines of mean regular and meaner DX, but I'd love to hear what the other FMJ fans think

I'd definitely be in on this. Yeah he's a great character but he is a real Marine and I hope some of those interested are real Marines too. Ooh Rah! Gotta have the Alphas as far as clothing. BTW that sideshow is atrocious

Sideshow was really into R Lee Ermey 10 years ago! Amazing to me that back then they went forward with 4 versions based on the man himself (non-movie related offerings), and in the last decade we haven't seen 1 bootleg or custom, much less a licensed release of this iconic character from a great Kubrick film

I'd definitely be in on this. Yeah he's a great character but he is a real Marine and I hope some of those interested are real Marines too. Ooh Rah! Gotta have the Alphas as far as clothing. BTW that sideshow is atrocious

I suppose for 10 years ago it's pretty cool. I was no where near being interested in sixth scale at that time. This is a must have for me as I don't really like any USMC figures that are available. As stated he's gotta be complete with service alpha uniform or at least the kaki long sleeve top but definitely complete with the smokey (that displays accurately). Id almost pay anything for this as it takes me back to the time that forever changed my life. Semper Fi

I don't want to say anything about accessories and details until I confirm what's doable with the big man, but I'd imagine the goal is for the full alpha uni. It wouldn't make much sense, or much of a figure if the outfit was his training fatigues.

It sounds like he's reluctant to do a DX sculpt because small runs don't really warrant the cost, so the more we show serious interest here, the more apt he'll be to make a solid package of inclusions

I should have more solid info within a week but for now I'm hoping this gets a good response so it will end up being the package that the fans really want

:lol:lol. Well, you already know I feel it's a f___ of a lot more than that, but I'm happy to see you give it at least that much.

But for the record, I didn't lobby behind the scenes to get this thread going. Mr. X hit me up on his own and asked me to start it (I'm assuming because of seeing the suggestion thrown around in the wishlist threads), but of course as a big fan of the film I was ecstatic when he did :rock

Now I wish all the other guys that were supporting this in the wishlist threads would make a little more noise here!
