Dr.Horrible 1/6 full set by Maximus Miniatures (2014?)

Hello, everyone!

I'll say you this: I've tired of all this mainstream bull***t this days. I've tired of all these remakes and pre/sequels crowded up our screens. I really have no lust for collecting them any more. So I started to think about something really fresh and heart-full to add into collection. Something special.

So would you like to have Neil Patrick Harris as Dr.Horrible in 1/6 scale?
Coz I really wish to get one!

Luckily I have the right people to make it true! My good partners Maximus Miniatures can bring this project to live probably in 2014 year. Please, let me know that I'm not the only crazy genius here to go with this idea and please the Evil League of Evil with your willing to get Dr.Horrible in 1/6 scale too!

The figure will include (everything painted and ready for the build up):
1) head-sculpt with sculpted goggles
2) robe
3) pants
4) gloves set
5) boots
6) and the freeze OR death ray.
All designed to fit HotToys Narrow Shoulders body or similar.

I'll set my point about goggles now. It's not possible to make them removable, coz Dr. has really fluffy and sharp haircut, it's just not possible to make them removable on such a sculpt. It's not B.Willis or V.Diesel. And removable goggles will make the set more expensive. We don't need it. So...

I have two concepts on my mind.

1) We can go with the classic Dr. Horrible in white robe with the freeze ray to stop... the time!

In this case his goggles will be located on his forehead, just like in the movie. Pure classic!

For the face expression I'd like to offer you my favorite aggressive and smirk look from "It's a brand new day" scene. This one will be really effective. I don't want to go with his sad-puppy face, coz I don't want to cry every time when I see him on the shelf.

2) We can go with less classic red robe, Evil League of Evil* style. With the death ray, coz freezing is not enough no more.

Here we'll have his goggles on his eyes. He's not just a Billy-boy, he's THE Dr. Horrible now. And he can't feel... a thing. I like this concept much more, but I can really understand if I'll be the only one here.


The price for the set would be between 300 and 400 USD. It's hard to say now when nothing is done. But Would be really cool to see your interest for this project to calculate all the possibilities. No deposits would be taken according to the rules of this board, so feel free to share your opinion here.

Without your support this project may never get the green light.

I think Tupac is not canceled, but the #1 prior for the studio now is to close the B:B Scarecrow project.
I'm just making few market research for the 2014-th year and Dr. Horrible is not confirmed AT ALL.

Blaze91, good point! Thanks! I'm not in this serial at all, so maybe it will be nice to make 2 versions of head indeed. But still removable goggles sounds really impossible to me.

Coz MM will be able to do same head with no goggles for free sale, but no one will totally resculp the whole face. It's too damn hard. So since you're OK with evil Barney - we can make it. No problem. Just display him with some booze.

And I should agree that the white version is more recognizable and memorable compare to the red one. I really want red dr. for me, but still I need to be realistic. (((( I guess the studio would like to do white to prevent risks of not selling the red one.

Personally would prefer an unpainted sculpt and outfit, I like to paint them myself if possible. Plus it might be cheaper.
