Interest list in "SA Penguin"

June 17th will be the end to place interest in:
Head
Body
feet
hands
assessories
full completed figure
full costume

Rocco wants to make this happen but he wants to know if we can get at least 11-20 people interested to make it finacially possible. Lets face it people customs cost. We need to see if people are interested before we invest time and money to make him real and tangable.


the reason we are doing this is he is joker's friends sortof as far as thieves go

Since sideshow is going to be offering his old chum I thought what could be better than to have both.

Hi everyone I'm assembling a team to possibly make this into fruition.

Unlike most scaled bodies the penguin will be about 10.5" this will put him into scale with males and female batman figures. The body can also be used for other project needing a heavier figure and i can maybe make legs to make figure 12" for future figs. I figured this was the best way to start the use of this body.If this pans out I will be sculpting an actual fat body for him that could be latter used for other portly figures.

Rocco aka the sculptor will be designing head
and accessories associated (Monocle,cigarette holder with attached cig, and top hat).
He will be taking his bust he did and we might offer this as a figure if we get enough interest we need somewhere between 16-20 people.



Ashkan is doing shoes/boot feet with attached spats and hands with different hand gestures.

We are still looking for someone for umbrella's so please pm me or rocco or ashkan.

*I will be making his suit for those interested please see me. I know their are other tailors/seamstresses on the boards so feel free to use them if you only want the eccentials for your custom.

this is the bust rocco did.

this is the version we are going for minus the rainbow umbrella and his tux tails will be black since it was never blue just in comics black has a highlight of blue. the blue penguin suit is purly super friends.

The penguin should look more like this when we are finished but with a slightly bigger belly.

As far as costume

Also If people are interested...Is a gold vest or yellow vest more prefured? i need some thoughts from interested viewers.

I found two pinstripes that could work one is a blue on blue and the other is a grey with a darker grey.

Any thoughts before i purchase fabric for prototype would be useful.

We will need trick umbrella's so if rocco and ashkan is buisy i may need a 4th member and we may need someone good at stands who might have idea's on how to make one for him.

Next week im buying another 2 lbs and see what happens. the stomach is coming along nicely. im debating about giving him moobs or not. since he always looked sloped and not bumpy in that area.

Im giving his back lumps and might epoxy a pk of hotdogs role in back of neck like a wrinkle dog. Im trying to add as much detail as possible to the body. I just thought about something, the new winston churchill could possibly use this body as well. Im sure their will be more options from the big guy from spiderman to moding it for x-men's the blob.

Ashkan's hands could be used for any figure for formal gloves are needed, and he is making spatted shoes so this could be used as well.

the sculpter will be making seperate assessories like top hat for big head's/fuller hair, cig holder and monicle(you might need to mod eyesocket area to allow to sit in place).

So everything for pengy will have other purposes for us customizers

hmmm I dont know why we are not getting any interest at all since joker is just around the corner. It's only going to take me another week or so to sculpt body.

and the Sculpter is waiting for interest before he waste his time on a sculpt. So without interest this will b e abandoned in 2-3 weeks

I will have some WIP pics in a week but if we get no interest then I'll just work on body when i feel like it because rocco cant tie up himself to a project that has zero interest and professionally Im not going to make him or ashkan stay in this for more than 2 weeks.

I saw 300+ look see's were all perplexed by the that and rocco asked me if we should just abandon this so im kinda debating myself if i should keep sculpting because this body consumes all the down time time i have in between my sewing customs for WGP. I still need to finish sculpting my wearwolf for halloween.

by june 15th we will abandone this completly unless we have interest because I guess we misjudged the release of joker that the penguin would be naturally the next major batman villian of interest aside from catwoman

i get the fact everyone wants to see a proto before showing interest but you see the bust so you know what the head will possibly look like and in a week i will have a WIP torso finished and the next following week i'll post pics of legs and arms. if we get interest then i'll mold and cast them. if not I'll do that on my leasure.

Im not and who knows if people know im closing this thread at a certain date they might have more responses. I have plenty on my plate to take it serious. but i fear this might sour rocco on doing more bat characters. Professionally that is the call im making that we can only wait two more weeks for interest. personally I am sad alittle but only alittle. But i dont want people complaining on DC comics board that their is no good penguins out there to proper scale.

Im still going to make the plus size body it just might for personal use and some people who contact me.

rocco needs at least 10 people to make the head.

So people can vote for what they want, if they want head with assessories then that is one vote
they can vote for hands,spatfeet,and umbrella and just vote them and those who want a body only same deal. full figures will have the deal.

We just wanted to make it easy for people to make their own.

The Penguin will be officially on hold or not at all at this point. I am making the plus size body for my own custom but thats about it.
