I wanted to post an update about our plans for Slater and Kidder. We have hired a new wig maker who makes wigs using a special process where the hair is woven into specially molded cap and is made fitted specifically for each characters head.
We hired her to make a test wig for one of our Doctor Who heads, Romana, and just got the first pics back and are very happy with the results. This is what we were waiting for to go forward with Kidder and Slater. Wigs cost approx $65 each.
I personally don't have an opinion on the wigs vs sculpted hair argument, other than if the character has really long hair, it is impractical to make it sculpted.
Slater needs a wig. We will sell her bald head by itself when she gets enough interest. Heads are $60. You don't need to buy our wigs, but she will only be made bald.
For Kidder we have two choices. Long hair wigged or pulled back sculpted.
Because we are throwing these decisions out to you, we are wiping the interest lists clean until you let us know who you want now that we are offering them this way to know you are still interested, and in the case of Lois, telling us your preference. As always, we need 16 interested per character version to go.
Sarah Douglas has been assigned to Fred, our artist who did Shane from Walking Dead for us, so we will be seeing her first out of the three.
Though none of these three heads were meant to be offered with clothing as our tailors are already so overbooked, I will knock around the forum here to see if we can get Douglas' costume made by someone (first), then Slaters costume.
