Batman-Fan

The wicked creation-lair-of-artistry, owned by Sean Dabbs (sdabbs) is about to bubble up something new, in the form of
Batman - The Long Halloween. Sean will be taking on a limited sculpt of Batman, in the style of artist Tim Sale (The Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Haunted Knight).

10 people interested will make this a reasonable cast cost for a 3D process. Please post if you're interested and I'll add you to the limited list below. Know that I don't want to make a profit off this; I just want to get the sculpt made so we can customize the hell out of an awesome figure!

Due to this being a 3-D modeled / printed head-mold, the cost has been updated to the process:
An unpainted cast will cost $89 + Shipping.
If there is additional interest beyond 10 people I will reduce costs. Like I said, no need for profit.


Additionally, Tony Mei is up for a collaboration and will offer a kit. This will be a LIMITED run of 10 available suits in the Long Halloween style!

I'll throw down. Long Halloween is possibly my favorite Batman story with Sale's art being a close second for my favorite Batman look behind BTAS. If this could go with the SSC Gotham Knight, I'm so down

Right On, Gents. Good on ya!
I now have you both added to the list above.

Yes, my goal is also to put this on a SSC Batman body (would work on either the original or the gotham knight). In fact.....DC did a statue of the Tim Sale style Batman for their Batman Black & White line a while back.

This is NOT artist-approved. But using the sculpt style above, I did a PhotoChop so I could see a mock of how this might look on a SSC Batman body. Just a little something to generate interest...

Yes, actually. I just checked with Seb and he is willing to do a limit of 5 headsculpts painted. I've updated the main post to reflect details on a painted head.

Update: Tony Mei has expressed interest and will be offering a LIMITED run of 10 suits for this as a kit! More to come...

I would be interested in seeing an unpainted cast. I'm not familiar with Seb's work but I love me some Batman and a "custom" sculpt would be awesome to have. Might finally motivate me to buy a sideshow Bats

Hey jzerby00. I'll see if Seb can share a prototype once he has a sculpt completed (before castings). At this stage, this is just an interest list to see if there is enough "interest" before getting started.

Not automatically, but most likely. There will be a separate Tony thread for that. But that is contingent on getting this headsculpt project launched. We just need 4 more interested parties to kick that off.

Once there is a Suit-Kit thread - I'll notify this thread of its location.
