Re: Star Puffs's custom clothing thread (Firefly, Marion Ravenwood)

I'll take a Hawaiian shirt. I need a decent one for Sam Axe. Is this the only print design? Just asking.

I could in theory do other shirt designs, but I would have to charge you for the design time that would take. Unless you have Wash in the same pattern, this looks like a perfectly normal Hawaiian shirt (since crane-pagoda is a real design in use), in fact I was wondering if anyone has a Magnum PI figure in need of an upgrade.

interested in the Marion Ravenwood shirt and scarf

I was just wondering this design would work great. Just checking options. Let me know when to pay.

Interested in Marion's outfit.

I would hope you know I'm interested in the Marion shirt and scarf. :) Eager to see what you do with it this weekend.

BTW, that Hawaiian shirt is beautiful. Good for Doc Brown or Brett from ALIEN too maybe.

You are a really good tailor. Have you ever considered making a River Tam dress? We are really lacking in options for her.
Maybe this look:

It looks like it wouldn't be too hard.

Yes and I have that exact dress in mind. I want to get Marion and a personal S tar TrekTNG women's jumpsuit project out of the way first.

Thank you, but I prefer "seamstress". :wink1:

I would be interested in the Marion set too.

Star Puffs, I'm well aware of the very high quality of your work as I already have one of your items. (Mal's braces) Would definitely want a River dress and also have you ever thought of making a shirt for Book? These are items that are impossible to find anywhere.

The hardest thing to do at scale are cuffed dress shirt sleeves with a proper off-set placket. Book's shirt is an absolute pain because of that and the unique collar.

I made a decent pattern last autumn and have a "prototype" shirt, but that is one that I would not enjoy offering. Sorry.

Wash's shirt takes time (which determines cost) because of all the prep work on printing the fabric sheet by sheet, but is not especially difficult to sew. Otherwise I will mainly be offering women's clothing with the possible exception of Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday.

Thanks for the reply Star Puffs. Just thought I'd ask. It was worth the shot. Still like to get that River outfit, and maybe a fancy gown for Inara. All I can find are kimono style dresses

I'd be interested in Marian and probably the wash shirt.
