Hi guys so I've created this thread on behalf of Scaletta. He has given me permission to start a list for the 1st choices that he's considering which is Tinman and also I suggest the witch as that has high demand.

Please vote in the poll and post which you'd prefer the wicked witch or tin man.

Re: Wizard of Oz Witch and man of tin by scaletta Intrest only.

Bro at this point I think we need tin man, scarecrow and lion. We all got sucked into Dorothy and then got shafted by iminime so I hope they all get done. If they get done I'm in.

I'm trying to find someone who could tackle the lion outfit that's my biggest one, I agree initially I wanted scarecrow first haha!
I just need to prove to woodroob that there is Intrest there. :) we need around 15 people tin man would cost about $550

I agree about being shafted after Dorthy I was gutted too hence why I'm trying to gain Intrest :)

Re: Wizard of Oz Witch and man of tin by scaletta Intrest only.

Depends. How deep are you planning to go? If there's only one figure to be made then The Wicked Witch is the only one that would make any sense as a lone companion piece to Dorothy. The Tin Man, Lion and Scarecrow would only work as a triumvirate, in my opinion. Dorothy and just The Tin Man for example doesn't seem right to me.

I'd like to have all of them and more, but I agree with ishothimsixtimes. Since most interest is likely to come from those who already have Iminime Dorothy, I'd finish off the Wicked Witch-Dorothy pairing first since that only requires one figure instead of three to complete a "set" of characters that go together without the sense that something's missing. The other "set" being Tin Man, Lion and Scarecrow to go with Dorothy.

Granted, it may not be a bad idea to start with a harder one like Tin Man or the Lion because then whatever characters are left will be easier to make down the road if things fall through. However, I wouldn't want to be stuck with a partial collection of characters, so the Wicked Witch seems like the best choice (and I really would like to have her the most).

Smart man here!

Unless some company decides to make 1/6th Wizard of Oz figures I wouldn't count on customizers/artists to make the entire 5 figures that only a few seem to want. I'm willing to bet you'd have a hard time finding 15 people that will actually buy them all.

The witch is relatively easy... and would create an excellent display with the Iminime Dorothy. The witch is also a stand-alone villain piece. Hell, if the price is right I might even buy one of her.

Personally there's only 2 I really want the witch and scarecrow..... It doesn't matter about the lion and Tinman so much however I was asked about Tinman so hey why not. :dunnoWhere does Dorthy meet Scarcrow? On the yellow brick road right that scene where he sings would go perfect with Dorthy and the witch well the witch is just a perfect companion piece.... Just add a yellow brick base.

Just curious how many of you would prefer to see Scarcrow over Tinman?
How many of you would happily settle for Scarcrow and the Witch?

I know that I've said it before in the other Oz thread, but the only one I'm really interested in is the Witch. Like others have mentioned the Witch would be the perfect pairing with Dorothy unless all three of her companions get made. I just don't think that Dorothy would like right with only one of them next to her, but that is just my opinion. :)

If I had to choose between those two in particular I would opt for The Scarecrow. Just a personal preference. No real reason behind it other than I preferred the character as a kid.

On a side note; I'm a wee bit worried about your seemingly increasing penchant for the straw-stuffed kind. The 'If I only had a brain' warbler following hot on the heels of Worzel Gummidge? Please, don't let it be the start of a slippery slope. Some people have been known to take these things a little too far......

Hahaha i just like scarecrows that's all I can't help it see I'm not the only one who likes scarecrow :wink1::rotfl
Leave worzel alone he is my childhood hero although he was quite scary when he changed his heads. :rotfl

I'm pretty much in agreement with having the witch made.... With crystal ball.

As a companion with Dorothy, I think the Witch would be better off having that Hourglass to shake about.

Crystal ball is way too big. Broom is simply a must.

:exactly: What this guy said all the way.

I'd be interested in both depending on price and timing. I have the Iminime Dorothy and would like to see the rest of the main characters at some point.

I am def interested in tin man. I am Leary unless I could get lion and scarecrow as well.

I'm not going to start collecting since I don't have Iminime's Dorothy. However I do love the movie and it remains one of the best ever made in the history. Personally I do think the safest way for you guys to go is to have the Wicked Witch made first. She can be a companion for Dorothy if the other 3 seems harder to do in the concept of outsourcing for the fabrics, metal sheets and fur, etc., just my two cents.

And...if any of you could answer my question, it would be great...how come Denny Kim decided not to make any more figures after Dorothy?

Yikes! One as a giveaway?! That must have sucked big time for him. Was it the head sculpt or the body that turned people away from buying it?
