Is there a model or anything we could see? It's an interesting idea. Rubber body to hide joints?

I am interested as well and as Mudblood put it - I do not want to see joints or else I have my Horizon Velociraptor which is 1/6 and from the Stan Winston Studio molds.

A stop motion like figure with an armature inside would be interesting.

The idea is like stop motion armature figurine.

We can either use a True Type or Full custom built armature like these.

The original idea.

I remember this from few years ago. Still interested. However, I would like to see the prototype first before commitment.

Me too. It looks great so far though! Definitely going to keep an eye on this thread.

I'D LOVE TO SEE THE finished product in order to commit to this....its starting to look great but not something too enticing....i'd love to see how the articulation will look...and I think its still aways off...

A little update on the sculpt. And projection of POA.

Looking great! Would it be possible to just have a solid cast, no inner skeleton? I would love having a resin piece and not have to worry about rubber deteriorating or tearing.

I agree, looks pretty good! As for articulation, what about something in between? Hard plastic with visible joints? That way no deterioration from rubber, and not a solid piece like resin. Just because they're visible doesn't mean they would have to be obtrusive.

Just thinking out loud, trying to get the best of both worlds :)

Re: [VC RavenEye & zombielands Mike. M] 1/6 Velocriaptor (Clever Girl) Wip Post #4

I think it's going to be a mix of the two

Re: [VC RavenEye & zombielands Mike. M] 1/6 Velocriaptor (Clever Girl) Wip Post #4

Yeah like Mike said, mix of the 2. The head, hands and feet are hard resin and the rest is a soft outer with armature core.

If you guys would do an all resin option I would be in. That rubber could be gone in 5-10 years. Regardless, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread. I love JP and I'm happy to see people making dinosaurs from it.

Okay we have 2 options, however advice or suggestions available. We can either go NECA style articulation or Armature as well or both. Thoughts let us know.

Re: [VC RavenEye & zombielands Mike. M] 1/6 Velocriaptor (Clever Girl) Question pg 2

This might seem like a stupid question but will the bottom jaw have articulation as well and can it be opened and closed? Also, what is the plan for the eyes? I was just reading how a modeller had used glass taxidermy eyes for the best result. Link here: Velociraptor by Steve Budd (Horizon 1/6)
I think that would be something to consider.

As for feedback on the above, I am happy for either. I'm not too concerned about the rubber deteriorating, but in saying that I'd like to be able to pose it without fear of any tearing.

Dude... Mike and I will make sure it has plenty of attention on articulation! I discussed Pers and jaw movement with him before we started this thread. :)
