Hi all - too bad NECA never produced any vehicles to go with their figures. The T-1000 deserves to have his motorcycle to show the glory that it has in the movie.

Say, that's a nice bike!
Anyone who wants to do it at the moment with a T-1000 are left with two options:
1. Use a Franklin Harley-Davison Electra Glide from Franklin (which is the wrong bike); OR

Wrong bike...
2. Use an Aoshima Kawasaki Police 100 1/12 scale (which is the wrong scale)

Wrong scale...
I'm thinking of making a small production run of a 1:10 Kawasaki Police 1000 in diecast to fit a Neca Terminator Ultimate T-1000 Motorcycle Cop figure in there to recreate the Cyberdyne scene. It is only economically viable to do at least a small production run of 100 otherwise it is insanely expensive to do just one. The 3D model is complete in OBJ format with texture mapping, which is one step before 3D printing (converting to STL).

See below for a screenshot of the same model used in a GTA V mod.

3D model of the Kawasaki Police 1000
It is just a 3D model at the moment and it's only a little beyond an idea phase. A toy car diecast factory has been found and mandated to do this production run if the presale is successful. The factory is an OEM for multiple other toy manufacturers and is a specialist in diecast vehicles (cars, maritime carriers, trucks etc)
Below are steps and proposed timeline (assuming Kickstarter campaign successful by early May 2018)

Steps as proposed by the CHinese factory
1. Understanding client needs (DONE)
2. 3D design, modelling and conversion (in progress)
3. Design confirm, which will include 3D printing and painting a prototype to test for component fit (June 2018)
4. Mold production (June-July 2018)
5. Mold prototype (July 2018)
6. Mold complete and ready for mass production (August 2018)
7. Production (August - September 2018)
8. Delivery to distributor which is myself (September - October 2018)
The windows shall be cast with transparent plastic with the rest in metal diecast and plastic. It will be colour-matched with the "police" logo on the side. It shall be of a similar quality and manoeuvrability as what you would expect to see from Franklin.
The asking price is quite a big steeper compared to what you'd expect on mass market, where a similar diecast scale car retails for $100-150. However since this is a custom production run at a small quatity, a lot of the initial costs (design and molding) are spreaded amongst a smaller group of people. Also Kickstarter charges a 10% fee on top. If you think what the factory is charging for is too expensive, I am happy to do just the STL file so that you can print and paint it yourself if you are a hardcore 3D printing guru.
If this campaign is successful, or enough people ask for it, I might even do a 1:6 format too for Hot Toys (which the T-1000 figure seems to be more popular in that scale and no one has a proper bike for it to sit on).
If this is unsuccessful, I will explore alternatives (including just doing an even smaller production run and everything 3D printed with ABS)
I will launch a Kickstarter campaign since it's easier to handle payment and keep track of orders (and yes they charge a ridiculous 10% fee but hey, I am no expert in e-commerce)
Asking price ranges from US$650 (orders of 50 or less) and can go down to US$250 if there are orders of 500 or more.

Next two on my list is a Freightliner FLA (to recreate the truck chase scene diorama) which the 3D models in OBJ are ready (need to get someone to convert into STL which is the 3D printing ready format before anything else can be done).
A little teaser:

Freightliner FLA. Imagine the T-1000 in a Freightliner with the T-800 in the canal chase scene.... epic!
