1/6 Stargate Atlantis Team

I thought I would create a thread to see how many would be interested in having a Stargate Atlantis team in 1/6. I have wanted to do this for the past few years and now I am ready. I want to be clear, I have not contacted any sculptors yet, and this list is just to gauge interest. I would like to see sunohc take a crack at these headsculpts since he did a fantastic job with the SG-1 set, but I don't think he is available until later this year. The team would consist of Sheppard, McKay, Teyla, and Ronon. Carter is pictured, but she isn't included.

Just to be clear, I included the photo to give one an idea about the headsculpts of the four main cast. The outfits can be decided upon later.

There is a guy over at OSW that has put out a set that looks great. Not all you show here he has completed but alot.

I saw those and they look good...I know I can't sculpt that well. Some of the heads he sculpted look great! The ones I list here are the ones I thought were a bit off. I am going to contact him and see if he is interested in selling the clothing sets.

Thanks man! Ahhhhh, have not quite got him finished, but hopefully soon. Swapping out bodies to I think an ACE body, give him a bit more bulk than the current dml-

Thanks man! I will for sure! I have to check now that I'm thinking about it, not sure I have Atlantis patches...

The head I have has a neck, so a little unsure about dremeling it out to fit- hate to screw it up-

I know what you mean Hollis, I get really nervous with customizing when I don't know what I am doing.


Here is an update,

I contacted the artist over at OSW, he is on board with this project and realizes that the core team needs some work regarding the headsculpts. He is going to re-work them and probably sell the casts and possibly paint them for us as well for an extra cost.

I asked him about the uniforms he made and he seemed more reluctant on that. They are time consuming, so we might be looking at a $100 price tag on those, if we wanted him to make them.

I haven't heard anything to my reply sent a few days ago so we will have to wait and see.

What bodies do you think would work best for the team? Here is what I was thinking,

Sheppard - Narrow Shoulder (maybe a TT Advanced?)
McKay - Narrow Shoulder
Teyla - Cuban TT
Ronon - Kaustic Heroic Muscle Body

I am not sure about Sheppard, I am leaning towards a narrow but the advanced might be good.

That sounds good! Hair on Ronon, that's what is the tricky part! Didn't Fabio on his thread at OSW say he was going to come out with a Jason Momoa head a couple months ago? Hairstyled more for Conan though, not Ronon.

Not sure about that Hollis, I am not even sure who you are referring to. I know there is/was a project for the Game of Thrones here and I mentioned that a sculpt of the Jason's character in that could be modified for Ronon but I don't think they have even started that headsculpt.

I heard back from Star Puffs regarding Atlantis clothing and she is busy with other projects right now.

Fabio is Kaustic Plastic- I'd thought I'd read in the KP thread that coming out was a gladiatior who looked close to Jason -

I just sent a PM to the artist over at OSW regarding the sculpts, ie- if he is thinking about going forward with this project or not.

I also put a PM into Warriors Gate Productions about the sculpts and emailed Stevotoys about Ronon items (gauntlets, belt, holster, knife, and blaster).

Heard back from WGP...they are busy for the forseeable future. They are only available for commissons and it would be $1,000 per head. Sorry guys I can't swing that, we will have to keep looking.

Heard back from Steve at Stevostoys, if there are 5 people interested we can get a Ronon Dex rig for about $50.
