Another Ledger Joker thread, I know. :lol But I feel like my collection isnt complete until I have this expression, so I am in talk with a sculptor regarding commissioning the Ledger Joker sculpt. Pretty much an interest list currently.

I just discussed with sculptor and he isnt comfortable with open edition as its would minimize the chance of recasting of the sculpts and therefore have decided that it will be an edition of 30 Painted sculpts only, and there wont be any more or 2nd batches etc. It will be part sculpted with rooted/implanted hair.

I will update the price once it has been confirmed, but it will approximately be around $400-$500ish.

It better be sculpted by Michelangelo for that kinda price. :lol

I'm not sure if I understand you completely, but it seems like a pretty inappropriate, unethical comment, especially coming from an artist such as yourself. Is there something I should be aware of?

I'd hate to see what you think of the other prices I've heard from certain artists? Four times that. I wont give my opinion on that though. :lol

It really isn't clear from your first post but is one finished painted sculpt $400-$500 or the initial sculpting job?

I dont know why of all people that you are the only one who missed it out, but you did say 'sculpted by michelangelo' :huh clearly you are taking a jab at it. But whats a commission piece without the the usual price police/complain

Even if its for a paintjob alone, some artist like lalla charges $400. But you dont see anyone going to him and say something like that. Well maybe one or two trolls, but coming from an artist like you whom i have also have a great respect for, is kinda unexpected.

Anyways, to answer your previous question, its the price of the sculpt, partial rooted/implanted hair and also the paint job. :wave

Sorry you're bothered by my comment but you may need to step away from the forums for a bit if one little comment is going to get under your skin that much. I mean if it bothers you that bad I take it back:dunno
