1987 Predator Headsculpt (for HT Classic Pred Body) **List open** 2nd HS added!

Hi guys!

I was going to create a P1 HS a while ago, and was pretty far along in the (3D) sculpting process, had a test print made which looked good, but then my 3D printing guy never got back in touch with me.

I now have some very exciting news! I own a 1:1 P1 replica costume, and in my honest opinion, the likeness and proportions of the head are amazing.

After some testing, I actually managed to extract the overall head shape through the use of 3D image extrapolation program. The results are below:

I will need 30 people to make this happen. The unpainted/raw sculpt will cost $70+shipping.

Can you pull the bottom mandible out and up abit? Sorry I'm not really sure how much work that would be with the 3d modeling but I think that would look perfect.

That's looking pretty good so far Ralph. Is that you in the third pic in the first post with the Pred outfit and what's this crazy talk I hear about you having a date with Danny Trejo? What's the deal with that? How did that happen? What's going on? I must know, tell me tell me tell meeeee, pleeeeease. That would be so cool, you're a lucky guy, you gotta let us know how that goes.

@ Dr. Odd: I've been messing around with the bottom mandibles for quite a bit and thought I finally found their sweet spot(s) lol

I'll try to see what it looks like when they're moved up and out.

@ astro: LOL! Well it's not a date, he had a Halloween contest which I entered on Facebook (as the Predator). The prize was a bunch of signed goodies and the chance to hang out at his place for the day + dinner. And yes, that is me in the pic

Here's a quick preview of what the head would look like on the Classic body (as of right now). Hopefully it'll give you guys a good idea of what to expect I know it's a little blurry, but it'll definitely help in terms of visualizing this thing once it's done.

That looks great Ralph. The mandible area looks near perfect!
The only other suggestion I have is too see if you can bring the whole mouth area closer to the brows/eyes, or in essence, cut out some of the nose.
Anyway this is looking very good, and I'm going to strongly consider purchasing one.

It's looking pretty wicked dude, happy to help and I'm glad you're open to it, as a perfect p1 would be one of my grail pieces!
The only other thing I'm noticing is that I think maybe his cheek bone area of the top mandibles should be alittle wider from the front view, and then bring the back of the bottom mandible jaw area up alittle closer to the cheeks, if that makes sense.

Ralph, can you also post a side profile shot of your updated WIP?

Thanks! I'm glad you like it I made some more different angled shots but forget to upload them last night:

Since then I also added some placeholder dreads and a body to help with overall proportioning. I've also begun placing more quills on his crown and I've started sculpting on the top of the head. Hope you guys like him!

Once the overall head sculpt is complete, I'm going to try a few different facial expressions. I just don't want to break the symmetry until then (seeing as it makes digital sculpting a lot easier; seeing as it's only half the work).

Last update for the day, I'm overlaying an image in Zbrush (using Spotlight) of the actual Predator to transfer some of the spotting and to alter his proportions. This really shows how close it is
