Hey everyone, I've spoken with @2ouble8ight and he's willing to do a run of Ranger Cloaks/Ponchos.

If we get enough interest of 50 people the cost of the Ranger Cloak will be $75.USD

I'm gathering as many pics and info on the Cloak/Poncho as I can to get it as screen accurate as possible. I asked him about weathering as well and he said that he can. But it hasn't been decided on if that will be an extra charge or not. If it's simple enough he may offer that for free. Under 50 then the price will go up but will not exceed $100 usd.

Please DM me here, on Instagram, or Facebook so I can start compiling an interested list!

Please include your Username and Real Name in the message. Thank you. No deposit as of right now.

UPDATE: WIRING
Spoke with 2double8ight and the wire Will be standard for the hood, but he will have to see about adding it to the front sides as pictured here (as an option if those that want a wire)

It might be difficult to weather however. He said that he will know more once he does the prototype.

Wire in the front may cost additional price too. (5-10usd) so keep that in mind if you want the wiring down the front of the cloak.

The topic was brought up from another member about if there will be wiring in the cloak. If this is something the majority would want I could check with 2double8ight and see if that is something that can be done. Or if the price will go up.

My initial thought was no wire so it can drape nicely. Let me know your thoughts.

I would prefer a good drape rather than a wire.

I can never get a wired caps to look good/accurate.
Thanks for feedback. I will put what people's preference is in parenthesis behind their name on the list. And depending on what the outcome is. Either majority or if 2double8ight will do either or we shall see. Waiting for him to get back to me.

We have reached 30 people so 2double8ight is going to be starting the proto soon.

We are deciding on type of fabric and color of.

Based on images from the film and going "screen accurate" based on how it appears on screen (with Peter Jackson's filters) giving off a very dark greyish green. Very dark. Dark grey with a hint of green is what I'm thinking. As far as type of fabric I'm not sure yet. I'd like a fabric that can drape nicely. But still have some texture to it.

The color grading on one of the blu ray transfers for LOTR was very heavy handed on the green. Notoriously so. something to keep in mind I guess.
