Achilles armor Kit

Just trying to gauge interest in a possible armor kit of Achilles from the movie Troy played by Brad Pitt...pricing for this is still TBA but ample time will be given in order to get the funds for this...it will be done by a top sculptor here on the sideshow freaks boards...i need at least 15 people to even get this off the ground....so i'm hoping there is alot of love for this character....i know it seems a little pricey but take a look at all the items you are getting in the3 kit

armor

shield

shoes

sword

spear (possible)

helmet...without the horse hair up top

gaunlets

belt section

chin guards

Brad pitt headsculpt

I would in but don't know if you'll get the numbers. Achilles would be a grail for me and Rocco would do a great job on the armour for certain.

it happens if it's not batman or wolverine or a Tv show it probably wont be no interest sadly.

head would have upped the price....i was thinking that people could either get one of the Sunohc heads and either get it haired or have someone else do it....but i didn't really think too far into it until i would have reached the magic number....so technically you have an early answer...not saying it will happen or not....

I have, it's quite expensive and their castings leave a lot to be desired.

I have a slightly customized Iron Cross figure. And yes, the castings are not so good... The head sculpt however is very good.

I'd be interested in this, but would love to understand a bit more about how you plan to go about it.
Achilles' armor is pretty intricate, a mix of metal and leather if I'm not mistaken. It'd be great to see reference pics and ideas on how you plan to tackle the project, and what type of base body you would be building this for.

to answer some of your questions...

i was going to suggest using the TT 19 body because it is muscular in nature....

i supplied alot of pics that i found on the net as reference shots for Rocco to use but I do appreciate the other pics sent in that link....

I did see that his armor was very detailed but like i said i provided alot of pics for rocco to be able to capture the armor

I have seen IC and its why i decided to seek out a sculptor that would do it justice...to me it just seems like it is already too big....i remember having this problem when i purchased a gladiator Helmet from them and it was way too big for a 1/6 figure so i quit them a while ago....


i do like what you did with the IC pieces and may have to revisit it if I can't get this project off the ground....

thanks again and any kind of input from you other guys would help....I'm still shopping around to see if I can find someone to take on this for a litttle bit cheaper....

let me know if you guys would want the Head to also go with this or if you are fine by getting one of the many headsculpts out there already....

OH NO....don't fret...this is QUITE alive...and I have a TOP sculptor on this....just have to wait for a clear schedule...and yes...if you think you know who it is...it prolly is....he just confirmed this not too long ago....Rocco unfortunately was too expensive...either way....you guys will like the sculptor....also the headsculpt will be provided aswell....

Any ideas on how you're going to tackle the armor?
The greaves and the vambraces are a mix of leather and metal, as are the belt and "thingies" hanging from it.
Is the idea to do the pieces like that, or solid like the IC figure?

Still working out major details....haven't approached how the mix of leather and sculpt will be taken on.....the price you see above no longer applies....we may be able to get it cheaper with a headsculpt included.....we just have to provide the numbers.....so please guys...spread the word on this....

Get some numbers together....depending on whose doing it along with the head, I might be interested. Im sure al ot of others will too. I think the price might be scary to some though.....so new pricing will help out.
