Re: Sideshow Armored Batman Premium Format Figure

Saw the movie last night aaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnddddddd it was AWESOME! I completely ignored this piece till after seeing the movie and now I think I'll be pulling the trigger, the armour was just SO BADASS.

One thing I would have preferred (mostly because EX's cost me more) is the gun on the reg, and a certain pointy weapon as the ex. Going from no gun, to gun, is a "bigger" deal then just swapping accessories.

Saw it yesterday myself. Loved it also. I will get this at some point very soon. Exclusive definitely one to have imo vs batarang like other 2 bats pf.

Now that's a super cool custom

I am also planning to do an extra grenade launcher which you can hold on to his arm! By the way I am Azad Karahan:)
Let me know who's interested, thanks:)

Does the spear actually light up as it appears to in the photo?

Just a little something I'm working on... spear body from machined metal, kryptonite out of fluorescent & glow-in-the-dark resin.

Will provide updates as I move forward. Will offer out a very limited number for those who are interested.

Awesome work/rendition. So down for this.

Put me down as interested as well please

Quick update... I'm having this piece printed as I write this -- One version from high-definition acrylate, and one from stainless steel. I want to have a very comprehensive look at the piece that arrives from both processes to make sure I can produce a spear that not only has the best detail and movie accuracy, but also is strong. I'll do a video update as soon as I get them.

Stay tuned...

Cool. How are you compensating for hand fitment without the hand?

Good question. The spear is actually being manufactured in two parts... Well three, when you consider the kryptonite tip... separated at the handle of the spear. Once I get a good idea of what material I'm going to use, I'll have the hand sculpted to fit the handle of the spear. Then the top end of the spear can slide into the hand and be secured, with the "tail" of the spear being attached with a rod that inserts into the top end. Confusing to be sure, but the video will show this a lot more clearly.
