Re: Bill the Butcher Shoes and Hat set - 1st Run CLOSED

I also never heard back after paying off my set but I have to remind myself every time I go into one of these that the producer of everyone of these is not a manufacture. They are a person just like the rest of us with a full time job, family and life outside of a very small hobby. Taking on one of these projects is always in edition to all the rest of the problems in their life's. Yes I'm sure they profit from it but after the cost and time put in is subtracted it's not a living. I don't think anyone in their right mind plans on being behind with a project and getting riddled with unhappy or concerned pm's with every project. My guess is the are hoping the next one will go smoother. Unfortunately things and life gets in the way. And before anyone hits me with " But communication is all I'm asking for". Remember this one thing. Everyone of you have dodged a bill collector at one time in your life. You knew you had to pay the bill and you gave yourself a definite date to do so by. In your mind you felt everything would be fine because you had it under control. You just needed some breathing space and you knew the collector would just put more pressure on you then you could handle at the moment. In order to work on the problem and get it resolved you needed some time and space. Your lack of communication is not an indication of you skipping out on anything in your mind on not making good. I think we are all human and we will in many cases work in the same manner to keep order in our lives even if other don't understand. Hope I've made no one upset with this view point. Just trying to help

I agree with most of what you're saying here, but communication is KEY. I now make a living off of commission work, so I can identify with this, but I can't stress enough the importance of communication. Yes, it sometimes gets embarrassing getting back to people with news they don't want to hear, but at least it's something. Be present, especially when you have collected money from people, and they will be more at ease. Just my two cents, and intended to be a generalized statement. Not directed toward Dean or ANYONE else.

I do believe in this line of work, communication is an essential. It's frustrating sometimes to see dean post an update and have no inclination of replying messages whatsoever. Does he ignore the PMs? Is he getting back to them one by one? I have no doubt he will deliver the product, just really hope I can get a response from him soon.

Re: Bill the Butcher Shoes and Hat set - 1st Run CLOSED

Hey guys - had to change casters. They are now with Alchemyworks. The guy I had to do them fell though with over scheduling. I was told a quick turnaround then the resin issues happened then delays delays... Anyway - I have it with someone who can deliver now. This just happened at the end of the week. I hope to start shipping out next week as casts come in.
