I managed to ship 4 of these out today, so hopefully get the rest out next week. Please be aware that before painting, the casts will need a bit of minor work. The face should be nice and clean, grey casts have some minor pigment distortion, but run your finger to check if there is any roughness and take some very fine grit 00 sandpaper to it. The hair will need some minor filling and sanding in areas, mainly the top as that was the problem area due to seaming and pour spout interfering with some detail. Thanks for supporting this run guys, hope these issues arn't too much to deal with. Once I've fixed my cast up I will paint it and post it up. Please feel free to do the same

Many thanks Beastmaster, received mine today and am really pleased with the sculpt. As you say, there are a few bits that needed sanding or filling, but really minor stuff. Now just need my favourite paint artist to clear his backlog.

Thanks man! The race to see the first one painted up is on! I'm eagerly waiting for Jakes take on her.

Unfortunately I haven't got round to sending the others due to making additional repairs. I feel responsible for each head that goes out and want them perfect. I'm spending alot of time re-sculpting/fixing details on the hair. I'm glad this run was for only 10 as this is turning out a bit of a nightmare! To be honest it's kinda putting me off making future head runs any time soon, especially a large run as I'm anxious about casting defects. The rachel head was my way of probing this area and it's become more time consuming than just receiving the head and sending off as I had planned.

Anyway enough ranting! Will be sending out two more tomorrow

To be honest it's kinda putting me off making future head runs any time soon, especially a large run as I'm anxious about casting defects. The rachel head was my way of probing this area and it's become more time consuming than just receiving the head and sending off as I had planned.

I hate to say it but the problem is your caster. A good caster would send you casts that required very little if any clean up. Casting also Requires skill and the quality of work can vary depending on the skill of the person you use.

Sorry for the delay. I posted two more out today. Will hopefully get the rest done Thursday as I have the day off.

The caster is a long time pro who was recommended by several members. He's done some fine work in the past, so not sure why these couldn't come out good all round. He did replace 6 heads totally free of charge. Though same issues with most of these, roughness at the back of the head this time instead of the top.
