What happened to him, though? I don't really frequent here that much, but I was under the impression Moe was top notch. I'll admit, he's contacted me, when I call him out, but I haven't received any updates since January and that was just to assure me, yet again, that they (I ordered 2 suits) would be coming soon.
Oh well, I know there's plenty of stand up guys on here, so it certainly won't discourage me from future purchases, but still, losing $260 still sucks.

to be perfectly honest, I asked Moe for a suit in i think october, received one a month later. I dont understand how his projects work - some people have been waiting since september last year and still haven't received anything. I asked him and received mine within the month - and I asked AFTER the current list of people asked and have been waiting. So no idea how his priorities work - but I had mine long enough that I have already sold it. lol
I'd like a refund for my suit as well. Paid in October and still nothing. No response to last PM I sent. Really disappointing

Guys, He has a tailor in Mexico that makes his suits and stuff. Maybe the tailor is holding things up..... Still doesn't justify behind held in the dark when you pay.

Let me clarify, I never truely felt as if he was gonna rip me off, thats why I never made too much of a stink about it. I think he's a respected member of the community and wouldn't risk that for a couple of bucks, but still, tailor delays or not, you gotta keep people informed of the situation. Add to the fact that others sporadically receive theirs first, every time you come back checking for a status report makes it even more disheartening, ya know?
The last time I heard from him was 2 months ago. I don't think anyone would have made an order if they expected to get ripped off. I made the order for my suit BECAUSE I trusted that I would receive it--and I expected it to take a couple months. I understand that stuff happens and delays are pretty much to be expected with custom items. However, 8 months with no updates unless I've sent a message asking what's going on is ridiculous. At this point, I just want my money back.

I still have to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume something else is up? Maybe he's having personal issues or something?
Assuming for a minute that he really is gone, what happens now? I don't expect my money back, but is there any policing here or do we just continue to throw cash at whoever and cross our fingers that something shows up?

Pretty inexcusable. If you can't deliver as promised, you should at least keep channels of communication open.

I'm not sure what the specifics were but it was said a few times that he had a lot of personal issues going on; IDK if that means health or otherwise but that was the case. From what I understand he's playing catch up and from what he told me he's knocking out old orders little by little. I waited a while for my chem suits and I finally got them but that was months ago. It also took a while to get undies & socks for Walt but he did that more as a favor, and I paid a premium because I got them after the run was done. I'm paid up on a Dude set that I'm still waiting on. He definitely doesn't move as fast as we'd like but I can say thus far he has been in contact and has come thru with some of my orders.
I don't think that you can wait for him to contact you, you have to be in contact with him. I saw other people who ordered chem suits after me were getting theirs before me and that's when I checked in with him. It's unfortunate, but you can't leave it up to everyone on this forum to run their lists responsibly. With some guys you can just sit back and wait for them to buzz you when yours is ready; others guys need "reminders". Some guys need A LOT of reminders
As far as policing goes, unfortunately it's play at your own risk. If you do the PayPal transaction as "goods" then you get the standard 45 days buyer protection thru PayPal; but there is rarely any transaction here that has a 45 day turnaround time (talking about built from scratch customization type projects. Buying an item/figure/etc. from a fellow boardie's collection is obviously different)
Whether you get your suits or a refund, I hope that he's able to make it right with you
I can say this, for guys who can't deliver, there are consequences for having the ability to sell on the forum in the future.

True indeed. Longevity is based on maintaining a solid rep. A lot of people have their s__t going on in 1:1 life. I'm hoping that Moe could make good on whatever is out there pending, put whatever was wrong behind him, put his best foot forward and get back to doing what he does here in a smooth fashion
It sucks if someone has personal or health issues of course, but that doesn't stop the rest of us from going to work and fulfilling our obligations to others. I don't see guys trying to make a buck on the forum any different than anyone else who does business in the "real world." But, I think there are different rules because customers, and forum policy here, really lets folks get away with a lot more than would be expected in a traditional business. And I think some take advantage of that. But again, there is a lot of money to be made using this forum, as Moe has for several years. And if he has ambitions of doing that in the future, then he does need to start making good on what is owed.

Good to finally hear from Moe--any update is better than radio silence even if it wasn't necessarily what I wanted to hear. Asked for a refund but it's not an option and still no estimate for when the suit will arrive. Trying to keep a positive outlook but I can't say that this has been a great experience. Hopefully the suit will blow me away when it gets here.
Brother Moe is no doubt behind in the orders, but he is a man of his word...
