I'm still interested...but how much of a deposit do you want?
Not to throw cold water on this but what if someone pays his/her deposit and then doesnt like the product?
Does money get refunded?
Im just trying to avoid problems before they arise and get all parties on the same page with expectations. Better that everyone knows how this goes down *before* any issues might develop.
I too would like to know the final cost or at least a ROM before giving a deposit if it's non-refundable. Let us know.
I hope we can finish the prototype before asking for payments, and after you've seen the prototype you can decide wether you liked it or not.
Which one you prefer?, using deposit before seeing prototype, or full payment after prototype finished?
I think you should do whats best for your business model on this project. Speaking only for myself i dont have an issue with either approach. But i think if you have a NRD ppl should have seen the product first. That way if they choose to put down the deposit they are fully aware of what the item looks like, size, etc.
But If you want a deposit before a proto is shown i think it should be refundable. Youre asking ppl to take a leap and i can almost guarantee someone will have an issue. Heck, even hot toys gets criticized. When ppl are going in blind i think an escape provision is a good thing. People should have the option to back out when they havent seen the product.
My .02.
I think so too. It's pretty much standard that way. Also cleaner.
Thank you for doing this project and for your responsiveness.
Very much looking forward to this.
I'd be in for this too by the way but would want to see a print before putting down the funds
Bumping so this doesn't slip too far in the search.
