Tommy Shelby is a fascinating character. He is relentless and fearless. He's burdened with intellect and trying to move in the world of mere mortals who live and think at a much slower pace. But Tommy is a kind of a man who believes his family is his strength, rather than thinking theyโre his weakness. He knows how to keep his calm even in the most panic-inducing situations.
From the cut of his suit to his famous hairstyle, Tommy knows how to carry himself and is well-dressed at all times.
Costume designer Stephanie Collie created the suits based on criminal mug shots from the early 20th century. The British show proves to be an influence in wardrobes up and down the country (and, perhaps, across the world).
The look we chose is the main outfit he is wearing in Season 5, the overcoat has also been worn in Season 6 throughout. Charcoal grey tweed suit, grey overcoat with dark accents on the collar. A timeless classic. We have a lot of reference photos so it can be made as accurate as possible. It's quite a complicated outfit so it will be undoubtedly costly. But I still hope we can create the best Tommy Shelby out there with your help!
