Well, it certainly looks like there're enough people on-board to do this so I've just emailed the casting people and then we'll be Go. Now to scour the house for a box to send off my delicate wax master head in miles and miles of bubblewrap.

At the moment I'm just working through converting some of my old sculpts to sell, so I'm not sure what I'll make in the future.

The master I'm sending to the caster has a big cavity about where the red line is in this photo, so there's plenty of space for a Triad Alpha neck post (My figure used a Triad Alpha). I hope that HT bodies should fit too but as I didn't have one to hand to test I can't guarantee it. I'll gratefully gather feedback from people who buy them as to how well they fit different brands and I'll adjust my future work accordingly.

Hmm. It seems that the casters make heads at a rate of about one a day so it'll be a month or so before the first batch is ready

Also, can anyone else see my attachment pictures? It looks like they've disappeared for some reason.

Not interested in the character, but great job, cloudfilter. Pics in your Catwoman thread are fantastic and love the likeness to Audrey Hepburn. Suspect pretty much everyone here has harboured a crush on Audrey since they first looked at her.

The goggles are sculpted on. So the goggles up and goggles down photos in the gallery are of completely separate sculpts.

Well, I sent the wax head off to the casting people a couple of weeks ago and they said my first batch of 25 heads should be ready early January. They haven't got back to me since I sent the head off but I assume we're still on track.

I spoke to my caster on the phone a couple of days ago and the first batch of heads (25 to 30-ish of them) should be in the post on the way to me now. Guess its time for me to have a poke around the site looking at how this new panjo marketplace system works!

They're here and they look super in hand, thirty nice quality casts. I've got a stoopid essay to write over this weekend but next week I can finally start sending these beauties out to you lovely (and patient!) people.

This is a response to a pm which I thought might be worth posting here, too:
None of these are pre-sold. When I've taken some photos and written the description and everything I'll put a listing up in the classifieds custom section and people can buy them there. Letting people reserve ones seemed like it would just add unnecessary complications to the process and I ordered enough that I thought anyone subscribed to this thread would have a fair chance of getting one. If it seems like many people have missed out I can get more done.
Oh, except I've set ones for Elvis1976 aside, because he is Undisputed King of Customs.
