Conan the Barbarian (1982) [sdabbs]

I am in the same boat. I was banking on the ML head as the base for a warpaint Conan, and then KP, and now I am kind of out of luck with an extra body painted up and ready to go.

Yeah, if I can't get another of these, then I might opt for the new KP and put warpaint on that one. Might help the likeness.

I still have that first Sean Dabbs 'reject' head they sent by mistake. Truthfully, I took a look at it, and other than a few small air bubbles it looks great. The hair needs a little trimming to fit on the body, but I can handle that. I'll do what I have to if I can't get another bald head with wig. Everything would be so much easier if I would be content with one Conan instead of four or five.

Still waiting paint????? mine was done within 2 week of been received. Surely those heads waiting to be painted should take priority over others you may have Peteskywalker? seeing as though your in on this project. only fair to look after the people that have supported the project and paid upfront? It was hard enough waiting to actually receive the sculpts in the first place.

Feel for the guys still waiting, you`s must have the patience of a saint!

Ha! Same exact problem. There are so many awesome costumes throughout that movie that none of them stand out as "definitive".

Wig should be soon, another painted head is on route to the wig maker

Without going into detail there have beens some lingering problems and then the first proto wig had to be scrapped along with the head so had to get another wig done and cast a head and get it painted along with shipping durations, it's not been a quick process I'm afraid

Hopefully i should have something to show soon and the wigs can get wrapped up

I wasn't aware Pete hadn't put the necklaces in with the heads. I sent the necklaces down within the bubble wrapped heads and they all arrived back with me already bubble wrapped so i packed them up and shipped them out as they were. I'm sure Pete will sort it though.

I wouldn't worry man it's not going to be just yet.

I didn't want to delve too deep into this as there's little point placing the blame but the wig maker we were using is no longer doing the wigs for number of reasons really.

She showed a decent one a couple of months ago and it got sent out for styling but in the process got damaged beyond repair so we had to get a new cast made and then painted and shipped back. The wig she sent back was beyond terrible so we had to cut her loose and found an alternative.

The caster we were using packed in so we sent the molds to the new caster who is going to cast another bald head and get it shipped to Sean and a wig will be sorted then. It's still 100% on the go and it will be finished it just needs some time so it's done right, i know we've already asked you guys to wait long enough and i can't really do much other than apologise.

On a better note Sean has been working the bald sculpt some more and it's looking real good, there will be a better head sculpt with a better likeness cast for all the buyers of the wigged head - those who have paid in full already will obviously get it for free and the people who have paid the deposit will only have the balance of the price to pay of course. I'm hoping it will be finished soon and i can show it, once the wig fiasco is solved.

Great man, thanks for the update, sorry for all the setbacks and glad to hear that its still on the works and Sean is improving it. I think I know how this 1/6 world works and that it takes a lot of time to solve this problems, but sometimes I dont have that patience and I keep asking about the status over and over and over..... Forgive me.

I am very excited about finishing this figure since I see it on my shelf headless but for the time, I will focus on other projects. If there is a male figure that needs a wigged head, thats CONAN. :lecture
