I've thrown the idea of The Man in Black & The Spaniard duo past Mr. X (with Fullmetal collaboration) several times. I ran into Dave several times at the last NYCC and he mentioned the upcoming licensed release, so I gave up on pitching it to Cult King, but I've been dying for these guys so I was pumped to see that Dane got it going.
Dave was vague with me and didn't want to say much, but I got the impression that it wasn't Star Ace. I have to say it's hard to be pumped for a licensed offering of this line considering the possible candidates that may have picked up the license. Threezero?! Sideshow?! They, and several others who could be mass producing these are well capable of delivering an array of disappointments. I see what Threezero has been doing and I'm actually aggravated that they have great licenses like TWD, BrBa and GoT.
I just hope Dave was being secretive and it is in fact Star Ace who will be doing this line. Then I could rest easy. They're the only mass producers that I can put great faith in aside from HT, EB and BW. I'm really disappointed that it's not Star Ace giving us TWD and BrBa figs. They would do those lines the justice they deserve
