Hi all, I've been thinking of customising my detolf shelves with some kind of black material/cover.

Something along the lines of that, but I dunno how it would look. Anyone out there done this? If so what material is best?
My hope is that this will kind of 'box in' each shelf making the individual figures stand out.
Cheers

Try using black Plastidip. It's a spray on material that basically turns into plastic. It peels off like tape if you ever want to go back to the glass.

That sounds interesting! Have you tried it before?

I've used Plasti-Dip, but not on a glass shelf. It takes a few layers for even coverage and dries to a rubbery texture.

You can also try buying medium sized sheets of felt or thin foam sheets (with or without an adhesive backing) from Michaels. Double check the size of the shelf before buying.

I haven't used it on glass, but I've used it on my car. Like bluntman said, it's rubbery and it takes a few coats. It's inexpensive and reversible if you don't like the outcome. If you do try it, practice on something else first.

I just offered that as an alternative. Fabric and foam seem like they'll bunch up or slide off. Plastidip will stay on unless you deliberately try to get it off.
