I think I'm now done. I sanded down the neck and finally finished the paint work (to my liking anyway)

I am really liking this sculpt, the likeness is spot on.

I repainted the hair on my MJ Indiana Jones head-sculpt, thanks to the advice by Raymond. I mixed some Tamiya black & brown paint along with some water. This way by adding water, you won't lose the detail added by MJ.
Looks great!

bumping to see whats up with Inigou's hat on the MJ sculpt

Speaking of...

Now that it's painted, I want to share my own MJ/Inigo concoction. I had the MJ sculpt shrunk to fit the original Inigo hat. I wasn't sure how it would pan out, but I'm pretty happy with the results! Credit to SilentSurfer for the amazing (as always) paint job on the sculpt. Should have some full figure pics in the next week or so. :)

Wait.. what did you do Dane? Shrunk the MJ sculpt? You got a smaller one? You b*tard. It looks amazing. :lol

That's my biggest issue with the MJ sculpt, it's oversized. Pity this didn't happen to all of them before production. :lol

Yeah, it's smaller! Theres a mold process I found out about that allows certain amounts of shrinkage. :lol This was all my initiative, though, MJ had nothing to do with it. I mainly had it done because I wanted to use Inigos amazing fedora, but the reduced size is an added bonus.

Isn't that just where you mix some paint thinner into the mold and let it evaporate? Or is there a better way out there I haven't heard of?

Either way, it came out looking absolutely great! Congrats! :D

Thanks, Dave! I actually had a friend that's much more experienced handle the shrinking, so I'm not sure what additive he used in the mold - I'll have to ask him, but I do know the process is evaporative in nature because he mentioned that specifically. :)
