Re: [Fullmetal] - PROTO PICS -Travis Bickle - Randolph Engineering Aviator Glasses -*

MILES better.

Although to get really picky they seem slightly off centre. If you check the eyes.

Hmm...I don't this see that myself. The only thing I noticed was that the top piece above the bridge doesn't meet smoothly on the right side but it's a prototype so I'm sure it will be.

That looks more accurate to the film then the first proto, I'm liking it:)

I have to take a closer look - and maybe do a comparison but the only thing I see is that the inner part of the frame may need to be slightly more angled at the top

Thank you for all the feedback. He will be making what I hope to be the final... That should be in a day. Trevor will post pics.

hey sorry to just be posting here now...the new pics look great but they still seem just little too round....the movie ones weren't as round....but maybe its my eyes playing tricks on me.....does anyone else see it?

I noticed it, I sent Dave a couple of overlay pics and notes to show that the inside frame especially needs to be a little more angular.

These photoshopped versions look like how the glasses should be. Appreciate your dedication man.

[UPDATE]

The images below represent the final color, size and shape of the glasses. The gold versions show the color and size of the glasses, which look perfect to me. The second (the silver version) is to show the final, revised shape of the front frames based on the images I sent to Jon and Dave. I think the shape of these is perfect as well.

The combined shape of the silver frames with the color and size of the gold frames will be our final product. We should have a final proto in a few days at which point I will start collecting final payments.

Re: [Fullmetal] - PROTO PICS -Travis Bickle - Randolph Engineering Aviator Glasses -*

frames need to be in between the first ones we saw and these ones....these one now appear to be on the small side...the shape in the last picture is perfect...just need to be a little taller (top to bottom)

Re: [Fullmetal] - PROTO PICS -Travis Bickle - Randolph Engineering Aviator Glasses -*

Yes I tend to agree they are slightly too small.

Re: [Fullmetal] - PROTO PICS -Travis Bickle - Randolph Engineering Aviator Glasses -*

Yeap agreed a bit on the small side. And I know that the top part of the glasses look straight on the images on the first page but I remember from the movie they were slightly angled as well.

Re: [Fullmetal] - PROTO PICS -Travis Bickle - Randolph Engineering Aviator Glasses -*

ok, doing an overlay and concentrating on the nose, mouth and chin as guides, I'd say the silver pair were the ones to go with if he just adds a little bit more of the "return" on the earpices befor they hit the eye frame (the small right angle of the earpieces).

The sculpt may be a bit narrower than the source though, so that has to be kept in mind. They may be proportionately correct and still look a little wide (or short) on the sculpt.

If this is agreed I will send final direction.

Size wise bottom pics there are definitely better in my eyes.

If you didn't catch them on FB, here they are! Jon went the extra mile on these to get them perfect for the size and shape of the sculpt.

I think these are the best Bickle Glasses out there!
