I seriously doubt it's a fake. I think he might have just send a copy of an earlier sculpt by mistake. Or maybe that was just all he had left.

Sorry for wrong word-I meant it's just another sculpt.I didn't want to say it's cheating or so."Fake" was not correct expression.

I think he's trying to say that each casting will be different because of the local weather where he has it done. I'm not sure how much that factors in though. I'm not a professional.

Are the painted HS and unpainted one are suposed to be from the same original sculpt? The hairline/detail is different as are other small details, strange that weather can do that in terms of alterating moulded detail...instead of make it less crisp or defined, they look like two different hs with different details...to my personal view and eye...I could be wrong...but the hairline/sculpt detail...seem quite different to me in details,ridge,edges on the forehead. Again just my very personal opinion based on the photos posted.

Yeah the expression and hair still match up a lot closer to the later sculpt than this "original" sculpt. I'm guessing he didn't really look that closely at the sculpt you were sent, Gido.

Trust me, if it looked like the sculpt in those pics above, I would be thrilled beyond belief.

So-all I got is his explanation, then that one is original sculpt semple and it's much better as others you all guys got.Abd no more sculpts is alviable.And if I want he'll refund, but I need to crush the sculpt and send pics as evidence...
Need to say-I think it's much less like to Cumberbatch...

Yeah I wasn't sure about that either. The weather isn't going to change the fundamental expression of a sculpt. And also odd that he wouldn't still have an original to make new copies from...

But oh well. I told Gido it's best just to drop it and move on. Life is short, and all that.

Weather may have an influence on how well the resin is gonna cure, even though I haven't personally ever experienced it, but it won't change the feature of the item. What can change that is bubble, a squizzed or warped mold, but even then, it will only change the overall shape, not the details...

You could always try getting the Daco sculpts. I have one and think it looks pretty great.
