I meant the best available body for Bruce's body type, not this specific sculpt. That's why I said i hoped that this head would work scale wise with that body. Its definitely not bigger than the TTM19

The best choice is clearly the tony stark body with the arc reactor sculpted over.

I still think the best available body is the Tony stark, but it requires a mod to get rid of the arc reactor.

Now here I thought I was the clever one. You guys are either mind readers or... well, great minds as they say... :duff

So here's the sculpt on the the body that was used for reference while sculpting. Remember, there will still be some minor shrinkage at production. I am also going to take more pics on that ZCWO body once I have it.

Hmm.Is that body bigger as ttm 19?Head seems to big anyway. What body is it?I think maybe ht Throe body-bigger as Indiana Jones one will be ok?

I don't know about you guys, but I don't think it seems overly large, especially accounting for any shrinkage I think it will be perfect

Head seems much too big still I'm afraid... I've worked with a lot of casting myself, shrinkage is VERY minimal. Like 3% max. Most of the time you don't even realize it. I think a more drastic solution like beast master posted is the right resolve at this point. And the trial and error process and time should be taken to get this right.

Quick question Marf. I don't understand the casting process. What is minor shrinkage...? By how much.

I'm keeping my order, so no problem, but just wondered how much it can shrink.

Unfortunately I can't give a concrete answer to that, as I have never personally molded and cast anything. It won't be a significant amount, but a little goes a long way in this scale. Perhaps a caster who has done the math can chime in?

Yes, the body in the pics is slightly larger than the TTM19. I believe it's a knock-off of the older HT muscle body. I'm not sure about the Thor body, but the Indiana Jones body is the same as the TTM19.

Thanks for the shrink percentage, Ray. The producer does not want to work with hydrospan or anything of the sort. According to them, have tried it in the past and the results have always been less than satisfactory.

I really want to get this, but I have to agree the head is going to be too big. If I'm not mistaken, weren't 1/6 scale figures made by SSC slightly larger than 1/6 scale figures made by HT and other Asian companies? I think they used to make note of that. An old SSC body might make it look more proportional but I doubt there is one that really looks that great. Anybody?

The mineral spirit technique will fix this. I haven't done any casting prior, but it came out perfect. Hydrospan will not work as it is too strong for such a small percentage of shrink. Definitely worth a test using an existing cast (not the master) ;)

Hmm... I'm not sure. The likeness is incredible, but the head is too big and I'm not sure that I want to have to shrink it myself... And it's a no brainer figure for Hot Toys do do themselves... I might save the money. It's a hard decision though.

Imagine if HT John McClane made an appearance at SDCC 2015? :yess:

Awesome sculpt! Amazing likeness! Im not worried about the size. If Marf is going to display it in his collcetion I am prettysure it will be either fixed or already look good. Marf is 100% at things like this. :)
Now I only have to decide if I really want to start a JMC custom. :panic:

You guys can roll the dice, but I wouldn't bet on it! And once this run is done, it's done. So expect to pay higher secondary market prices later.:thud:

Thanks for the votes of confidence, fellas. :)

I have no doubt that when I'm done with my McClane using the MJ sculpt and clothing, he is going to be yippee-ki-yay-****ing-awesome.

I'll continue to speak with the producer about the scale, but I can only confirm the slight shrinkage that has been discussed thus far.

Pics of the sculpt on the ZCWO body from a few pages back ASAP.

Hey Marf, anymore pictures on other bodies before I pay? I'm just waiting to see how it looks on other body types.
