Re: **HUGE UPDATE**[Masterworks]-Inspector .44 **PAINTED PICS ADDED**

Well I guess you can make the distinction with something like SSC's Han Solo, which has a better likeness than the HT one, but looks less realistic, i.e., not like a real human being.
That comparison makes sense to me

Re: **HUGE UPDATE**[Masterworks]-Inspector .44 **PAINTED PICS ADDED**

I would like to see the Harry sculpt, without the glasses, from a distance. Not the extreme close up, but more from a viewpoint of sitting on my shelf. A more accurate representation of what I would be looking at if I had it on display.

Re: **HUGE UPDATE**[Masterworks]-Inspector .44 **PAINTED PICS ADDED**

Well, Cumberbatch Sherlock was pale as **** :lol

Exactly! That's why I feel like they both have their pros and cons. If you had MW's tones and SS's detailing, you'd have the perfect Sherlock. Contrarily, I think a bit of that California tan would definitely make for a more authentic Bay Area Inspector.

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol You, sir, win the Internet.:clap

Re: **HUGE UPDATE**[Masterworks]-Inspector .44 **PAINTED PICS ADDED**

Maybe tan will also helps, but my opinion-his eyes should be repainted. They looks like looking somewhere up and dreaming about next life.He needs more sharp, ironical, stright look with this smirk.Just pupils more in center of the eye will make big deal for likness.

Re: **HUGE UPDATE**[Masterworks]-Inspector .44 **PAINTED PICS ADDED**

I also can't speak for 'in hand', but this pic pretty much made up my mind for me. I don't really see a 'Realism vs Likeness' here. Nathan's version wins both likeness & realism I feel. I guess you can argue about angles & such, but I feel the comparison is shown fairly enough.

This talk is simply to point out that maybe an alternate style paint job by MW might do wonders for the sculpt.

I appreciate the updates though Batfan.

:lol

I cant believe people are complaining about IMINIME's paint jobs! They look so natural and flesh like, that thing at the side of it looks like a painted toy head lol.

Re: **HUGE UPDATE**[Masterworks]-Inspector .44 **PAINTED PICS ADDED**

Wow, beautiful Eastwood/Dirty Harry likeness, IMO (think it's just as good as Cowboy). After first checking out the pics, I rolled on to the comments, expecting them to be positive, but I should've known better. :lol Smirking look was definitely the way to go.

Have to say, kinda feel sorry for Denny or anyone working to make these projects happen. Must suck to put that much work into something and just have people tear it to pieces. Guess it goes with the territory.

Re: **HUGE UPDATE**[Masterworks]-Inspector .44 **PAINTED PICS ADDED**

That comparison picture of Sherlock shows Nathan's paint on the sculpt in an odd light. It really isn't that tan in-hand. :lol

That being said, the Harry sculpt looks amazing! It's just as good as the blondie sculpt, imo. I think changing up the color palette a bit, especially with the skin tone, will bring it home.

Re: **HUGE UPDATE**[Masterworks]-Inspector .44 **PAINTED PICS ADDED**

Wow that looks awesome, :clap I need a new head for my Brothers Production Dirty Harry, fig.
The head will need sunglasses though, the type Clint wore in the 1971 movie.

Re: **HUGE UPDATE**[Masterworks]-Inspector .44 **PAINTED PICS ADDED**

I haven't seen the movie yet (I know, I know) so I can't speak about fitting expressions for the character, or squints and the like, but i think it's easy to see that this is nearly, if not as good as Trevor's Blondie. Maybe the eyes need a little something (mostly a fix in the paint I think), but this looks damn close. Just by looking at images I agree with suggestions like the hair, and I see some other points but IDK if anything else is broke enough to bother fixing.

The very best sculpts in the hobby aren't 100%. You can take any one of the top dogs and compare them to certain screen grabs and find things that don't match 1000%.

Re: **HUGE UPDATE**[Masterworks]-Inspector .44 **PAINTED PICS ADDED**

I posted without seeing those new shots. Beautiful :rock

Iminime has come a long way with their paint work and I dare to say that they sometimes even rival the guys who are considered to be the best in the game. Lately, their pigmentation has been even better than most IMO. It's funny because they were getting slammed for making Caucasians too dark (HT does this as well), and now they're finally nailing that type of complexion.... and it's too light :lol.

Again. I'm not an authority on Harry so IDK if he appears a little darker on screen, but I think that they absolutely nailed Cumberbatch's coloring. I'm not an authority on Curly Fu either... but I do know that I have to wear sunglasses when I google image him

You haven't seen any Dirty Harry movie Mike? Not even catching them on TV? I figured you probably saw the original release in theaters

Re: **HUGE UPDATE**[Masterworks]-Inspector .44 **PAINTED PICS ADDED**

Totally agree with Mike that MW paint skills are far underrated. I think their work on the Kill Bill gals is the best I've seen in 1/6.

And by the way, those side shots look perfect! Again, no complaints from this guy!
