What I did notice when looking at photo's of DeNiro's outfits, the older he got, the more conservative his clothes were. His hair was more grey, he wore glasses, and mostly sports coats. The photo's of his outfits when he was younger were hard to see well. I have the movie recorded for Wednesday and will take photo's.

I know, but it's a catch 22. No one was posting because there were no updates. There were no updates because no one was posting.

We have our update now and it's thumbs up, green light :rock

All we have to do is show Denny that we're all still here :)

My point is that the interest is there, our lack of activity has been because of Iminimes lack of updates, not vice versa. After you get put on the list, then what? A bunch of random posts saying "yess!" "I really hope Iminime decides to make these!!!" etc. :dunno:lol

We did our part in showing that we were interested, now denny/iminime needs to do theirs.:lecture

Keep it up guys. its only a matter of time before he jumps back on it.

SO the way I see it its' down to the Brown leather jacket ensemble I posted about a few pages back... with the details... found HERE

Outfit details:

We begin with his feet. The shoes are a must-have for every gangster’s wardrobe: dark brown alligator skin loafers with two tassels on each shoe. The shoes are immaculate, which could be explained by the fact that he is standing next to “Shoeshine Tommy”. Joe Pesci, if you are reading this, please take that as a joke and don’t come back later and beat me to within an inch of my life, then carve me up in a trunk after De Niro pumps a few .38 rounds into me.

Henry’s socks are thin plain socks – dark gray with a slightly olive tint as though they are transitioning from the brown shoes to the gray suit.

Panning up Henry’s suit, the audience quickly realizes that this is the suit of a gangster and not a businessman or politician (in case the shoes didn’t give it away). Dark gray sharkskin is not a suit often worn by “civilians”. The pants have a single forward pleat, plain-hemmed bottoms, and a zip fly. Most of Henry’s trousers at this stage in the film are beltless, so we can assume that these are as well.

The jacket is single-breasted with thin notch lapels, a 2-button closure, 2-button cuffs, flapped hip pockets, and a jetted breast pocket. In the back are two short double vents. The suit appears to be lightweight.

Henry’s long-sleeve sport shirt, which he also wears casually later in the film, is primarily black with thin white vertical stripes. It appears to be an acrylic and cotton blend, with a texture resembling a thin sweater more than a casual shirt. It has seven large buttons and two jetted pockets near the abdominal region. The shirt is cut straight across the bottom, directly underneath the seventh button.

There are five of the thin white vertical stripes on each side of the buttons, with the space between the stripes going from totally black to totally white. There is probably a better way to explain this, but I have no idea what that would be.

As we finally pan up to the top, we see Henry himself – cool and confident as he puffs on a Winston. This is the best he is going to look – his life, while not necessarily on the up-and-up, has not yet become complicated due to drugs, women, or murders. He has nothing to worry about and has a full future ahead of him. Little does he know, most of this future will be spent as a “nobody” in various hillbilly towns across the U.S. as he hides from his criminal past.

Like most screen gangsters, Henry Hill also wears his share of gold jewelry. The most noticeable (although not in this scene) is the gold cross that his Jewish girlfriend Karen forces him to hide when meeting her mother. This cross is later accompanied by a star of David after he marries Karen.

Henry also wears a series of gold watches, with my favorite being his all-gold Rolex Day Date. Finally, Henry fits a small gold ring with a ruby stone on his right pinky. He later also wears a gold wedding band on his left hand, but that can hardly be counted as gangster garb.

The shirt is the same but those are two different outfits. I actually like the one without the jacket just because it leans towards a suit and I'm getting sick of suits :lol

Either option is a good look but I think I'm leaning more to the red leather jacket

I think this outfit is the money shot. I know the brown leather jacket is nice, but the brown jacket with the brown pants, too much brown.

I think the red jacket looks better imo. I'll be happy with either one though.

I got a chance to skim the movie and outfit watch tonight. I couple of things I gathered:

Henry has the most variety of the three and also wears more casual outfits than Jimmy or Nicky; they're usually in proper suits with a tie or at least wearing a sport jacket.

They ALL frequently wear shirts with the top two buttons open. Either with or without a tank top underneath, this would expose the neck joint..... unless... we went with suits :(. Based on what Denny was saying in the Space Monkey thread, the whole muscle body and neckless sculpt situation is tricky. I'm sure there could be a solution, but some thought has to go into this.

All three of them are very distinctly different in height. Without putting too much thought into it my first ideas would be for Tommy, being the shortest and chubbiest, to be on a TTM22 (or Slim equivalent) with a fat suit. Jimmy who is in the middle height-wise is pretty slender and would probably call for a narrow equivalent. Henry who is the tallest of the three with a similar slender build as Jimmy, would probably work best on the ZCWO body that Iminime used for Bateman. Anyone who has Bateman in hand can compare to other figs and see he's pretty frigin TALL. He's as tall as a TT Narrow on long foot pegs.

Considering that these guys are very light on accessories (a gun each and some jewelry), I hope that the attention to their physiques and heights can be a feature that justifies the price tag.

I would love to have all three characters. Suit or casual I just want them with great head sculpts and a couple iconic accessories (butcher knife for Tommy, bloody beat-down gun for Henry, etc).

Has this thread stalled out? We need to bring it back to life. :panic:
