Wall Street was obviously the better film but The Great Gatsby is probably the greatest work of fiction in history. I personally don't think a figure from either wold be a priority for me cause I agree, the movie wasn't great, but if I had to have a goatee-less Leo sculpt, Jay Gatsby from the Great Gatsby is OBVIOUSLY an iconic character, one of the most iconic in pop culture history. belfort the 90s wall street d bag? Not so much.

I didn't see the great gatsby because I heard it was pretty bad and don't care for the source material.

The wolf of wallstreet was a bit weird in terms of editing, music choices and other things but I enjoyed it, in my opinion it's not the kind of movie that really warrants any figures. Same with American Hustle which I loved.

Something about regular folks in a regular sort of movie based on real people doesn't do it for me, I know people bash on suited figures all the time as "boring" but I argue that's not the case when the character himself is bad *** like say the Resiviour Dogs or Goodfellas (iMO THESE are figures that should be done way before WOWS that's for sure).

And I don't think I could ever want to take up shelf space with a Jona Hill lol.

That being said though iminime would do a killer job on these figures as always! It's always a pleasure to see what they pump out!

You thought the editing of Wolf was weird? Not innovative or unique? The editing of American Hustle now that was as standard as it gets. It seemed like the director shot it as if saying hey were in the 70's! Cue up the classic songs of that area! Boring...zzz I thought American Hustle was totally forgettable. No one will be talking about it in a year.

A few people I've talked to share that sentiment and while I did not think American Hustle broke ground what I enjoyed about it was it was a tight, concise very well preformed story with a few nice surprises along the way. It's not that it was something I've never seen before its that it was a highly enjoyable very well made movie in a time where 90 percent of the movies nowadays are utterly lame.

The Wolf of Wall Street had a couple nice performances also, well mostly just Leo but he was great and surprisingly the pornstar looking trophy wife was solid too as far as performances go. Jonah Hill was just Jonah Hill but I enjoyed his comic relief in places.

Man I really wish the 1/6 revolution was happening much longer ago, it seems flavor of the week things nowadays gets nods to be made all the time. And hey I'm all for whatever, one of the great things about the hobby is the ability to have virtually any character you want. But there's a lot of my favorites that I find surprisingly strange that there are not figures of, that had there been 1/6 custom figures at the time of the films they would have been made.

For example, if this film was Aviator and WOSW came out when Aviator did instead, someone would be lobbying for Howard Hughes. But who has thought of that movie at all in years? It's not that it wasn't decent, it was decent but in a few years no one will remember WOWS either.

Truth be told I kind of feel that way about inception too... not that it wasn't a decent movie and a lot of people still hold it in high regard but it's not exactly a figure kind of movie. I have not seen one posting about an inception custom, or threads about commissions, or HT petitions in years. AKA flavor of the week is over and now no one cares.

IMO in principal, WOWS is not really worthy of a figure but who's to say what's "worthy"? At the end of the day it's all good. It matters what you want as a collector and that's empowering. We're lucky to be able to have so many options nowaways.

yup, very well said indeed. I guess the main point I was trying to make was also just that I see this being something people would sell off VERY quickly to fund the next flavor of the moment. I still have lots of other favorites I'm hoping to see iminime decide to take on that are classics long neglected in the 1/6 world that it makes me lean in favor of them not taking this project on.

Very well said, my feelings as well.:clap

If feel the same way about most tv show figures but to each his own...this is the interest thread for the W.o.w.s figure though. Not the iminime wishlist thread.

All of the above is WHY we have interest threads. Some projects get green lot others don't.

Will need to see a massive spike in interest before these are even slated. As of now it doesnt seem likely to happen.

I absolutely loved the book (yet to see the movie it's released here on Friday) and I'm down for a JB but I'll be amazed if you get anywhere near the interest needed to make this viable
