Re: IT'S OFFICIAL!!! [IMINIME + TREVOR GROVE!] A Memento to 'Remember Sammy Jankis'

I have to disagree with that. The 19 or any KO of it is too big

I know bro, I'm just not feeling it at all. It's just barely passable for Crossbow Hunter. I can't see it on Lenny

The body is THE best option. He's not as skinny as the Carlitos way body or Bruce lee. And even if he was those bodies are not available in the quantity needed.

That's your prerogative of course. You don't have to buy if you don't like.

Re: IT'S OFFICIAL!!! [IMINIME + TREVOR GROVE!] A Memento to 'Remember Sammy Jankis'

I'd only be interested in a sculpt since there are better body options for my personal taste. Please ask Denny if sculpts will be sold seperately. Im sure there are more than a few customers who will appreciate that option.

I'm curious as to what body option you guys think will work better? Because If you are planning on one with a PVC or rubber torso you can forget the tattoo decals from staying on.

I actually dont care for posing this figure shirtless Wake. Is that the pee-pee body again? The skin tone looks too dark, that seam across the waist is somthing that would bother me, personally. I'd be interested in a sculpt and maybe hold out for a better body option. This having to buy the whole cow thing is a headache man. The loose headsculpt option should be available.

I have the body in hand. It's lighter than the HT body actually. If you are just planning on subbing out the body then you could just buy the fullset and ask Denny not to put the decals on the body so you can resell it. As far as the clothes it will fit fin as the suit Lenny wears in the movie is too big for the character by about a size (since he steals it).

Re: IT'S OFFICIAL!!! [IMINIME + TREVOR GROVE!] A Memento to 'Remember Sammy Jankis'

He was really skinny in that movie. I don't think there is a perfect choice for the body, either, but the Blitzway bodies might be the closest I think I've seen. Of course, that isn't a feasible option for the full figure release.

I know all of us collectors dont have the smae level of perfectionism or eye for detail... but I pride myself on have a pretty good eye and I think many might agree with me. Having said that why would I push for something that I think will look bad? I firmly believe that when this figure is put together and painted all of the body concerns will go away.

You're right... it is the best option; I just still don't think it fits Pearce. But that's all that's out there and that's why figs like Hawkeye end up on a 19. I agree, he is bigger than the BL body would suggest, but that build just doesn't exist. The ACI was a big letdown because that would have been perfect if it wasn't such a POS and if the forearms were more humanly proportionate.

I wish Iminime and ZCWO would just fill that gap and make a slim muscle body & a medium muscle body. There's such a demand for it.

I'm interested in seeing how they pull off the over-sized suit look. That won't be an easy feat to deliver it convincingly in 1/6.

I wish I wasn't interested in the shirtless look; that would make the decision much easier. I think this is all about displaying him with the tats exposed to some degree, or fully shirtless

See post directly above! :lecture

Regarding the body... Denny and I are looking into some things in the future to remedy this issue. But mass producing a body is a heavy investment and wont be done anytime soon.

You have a fantastic eye for color and detail; there's no denying that. I just don't agree with you when you say this body doesn’t look too bulky for Tyler & Lenny. I do agree that it's the only easily accessible and feasible solution unfortunately

Re: IT'S OFFICIAL!!! [IMINIME + TREVOR GROVE!] A Memento to 'Remember Sammy Jankis'

Mike it's by far the best option. There is no other option.

The best option is MORE options....Iminine needs to go back to offering loose sculpts. How does a company that size with 20+ staff members not offer seperate sculpts anymore? Wouldn't it generate more profit?

Because the costs are rising. If the customer wants the sculpt badly enough they will buy the fullset. Simple as that. What the customer does with the body and clothing is no concern to Iminime. The fullsets offer the best return on investment for them. The sculpts are expensive to commission. Expensive to reproduce. And time consuming (therefore expensive) to paint. The return on sculpt sales alone does not offer the best return.

Let me put it in terms you can clearly understand. If 3 sculpts nets 50$ profit, and 1 fullset nets $50 profit then it behooves Iminime to NOT work extra (by painting three sculpts) and instead focus on fullset sales. Its the same reason HT doesnt sell sculpts only.

I appreciate that... believe me if a better option existed i would be all over it. You need to look at feasibility and availability of course. The fact is that up until three days ago (and the announcement of new Worldbox 2.0 bodies) the best option was even worse (hit figure body as used on Daryl and Rick) which has larger forearms, no sculpted legs and PVC chest/neck which may not have held the tattoo decals well.

No sir! A return is a return. Your not taking into account those that will pass on your full figure pricepoint because there only interested in a sculpt. Theres actually more money and less work in the selling of sculpts than in the entire figure at some point. You'd have to be charging $600 or $700 for 1 full figure in order to outpace the money generated from the painted sculpt option. But I think I understand. Iminime has outsourcing fees to pay for the clothing and bodies. Contracts in place with quotas that need to be met.

It seems like the majority of the real cost goes into making the sculpt. After covering that cost the real profit you make is from the clothing and accessories(which can explain the disparity in quality between the sculpt and accessories/clothing)
