It is indeed an awesome flick. I'm a huge fan. But as a figure on a shelf... I'm not sure I'm seeing it as that appealing. I'm not knocking it, or those craving this guy, like Stansfield before, awesome character from an awesome movie, but boring as hell to look at. :dunno

The tattoo look will be striking, and Trev's work will be great, so what do I know.

EDIT: Not trying to stir the ol' debate... I know some collect the character/movie regardless of visual appeal.

The tattoo look is really what I think will be appealing, and that alongside him being from a great movie makes it an interesting 1/6 prospect. But my first instinct was like yours Entropy. I wish Iminime would go after something more interesting looking like Raoul Duke, John McClane, Evil Dead 2 Ash or Beverly Hills Cop 2 Axel Foley. . .my own little wishlist, actually :lol

Karamazov Denny and iminime were brought this project by Dane and I (and now trevor) to be honest. I contacted denny and asked if he would b okay with me starting an interest thread. I wanted to mimic what others had done with previous super projects like sunhoc morpheus and brong together a bunch of bad *** artists to work on a great figure. I love the movie and so does dane and trevor. We are getting up off our butts and making it happen! Lol. (I'm not saying you aren't just saying!). So in regards to iminimes choice of projects ... I think we decide that.

Thanks for being open about that Wake. I never took that approach with Rainman, but did actually send an e-mail to Denny not long ago with some suggestions of what I thought would be good projects, because it seems like his orientation from day one was to take advice from collectors. He never responded to it. But I didn't go through any guys he knows and gets advice from like Marf. Good on you for getting it together, in any case.

Regarding Axel, a number of people have expressed interest in his thread (for Raoul Duke, as well). I think it would be a winner, but. . .you never know.

I agree. I think axel foley would probably sell the requisite 70 pcs.

About this project; I'm still trying to woo KATO to be involved too although I suspect that if the body with tattoos comes to fruition the right way most will pose him taking off his shirt and revealing his tattoos.

What really gets me is a figure that tells you the character if not the story through the costuming, sculpt, paint, accessories and pose, even if you don't know the source material. And I agree with you that this one can do that, well, as much as you can with a plot gimmick like Memento.

I'm interested. The head sculpt would have to be a thing of beauty though with perfect likeness. And Kato suit for me.

That ACI body looks to work good for Mr. Pearce. He's a very slim Guy (pun intended:monkey1).
