just finished watching this......wow one of the best movies i have seen.thanks wake for starting this thread i would have never seen memento without it....i want this figure so bad now :) please add me aswell

Hey guys, heres the news... Trevor will begin sculpting this in May. I've sent detailed reference photography of the Tattoos to Denny. Smartly, and because many of us have seen it first hand, it doesn't look like the ACI body is going to cut it. Because of that Denny is looking at a few options that more closely resemble the Hot Toys TTM19 Muscle body which I think is a good idea. He will be testing these bodies soon and hopefully in the next month, before Trev starts on the sculpt, he will have picked a viable candidate to move forward with. Exciting! Getting closer now!

If the TTM-19 is too big for Indiana Jones, seems like it would also be too big for Shelby.

Perhaps, Sam. And I appreciate that you are always willing to give feedback... but let's not be contrarion and agree that the TTM19 is better than the ACI No? I think you are one of the loudest arguers against the ACI no?! What better option is there?!

Honestly I don't have really strong feelings about that body one way or another, so you might be confusing me for someone else. I've never had one in hand. I have had the "General" ACI body in hand and it sucked, but I have no clue how generalizable that is to their other bodies.

Any choice here is going to be an imperfect one, but my understanding was that the ACI was less bulky than the TTM-19?

THat's not the case. In fact the TTM19 is more sinewy which Lenny is. The ACI has a very pronounced chest. Ultimately the ACIs biggest shortcoming (i have 4 of them so i know) is the thin neck and lack of articulation in the neck and abs.

I think a modded KP01 would look good, if Denny could work out a deal with KP to reproduce these guys. The biggest issue are the legs, but the torso seems like a good fit for Lenny. xenoviper did a nice mod of this body, swapping the lower body with a slim tt and it turned out pretty nice.

The only down side is the pair of legs that came with it... If you are displaying your figure in martial arts horse stance then the original pair of legs are fine... If you want to wear a good pair of trousers or jeans then the figure might look a little funny... Anyway I took apart HT slim body and attached the lower part to KP's body. Now it looks better!

The fact is that Sam s right. The ACI being a disappointment is a real monkey wrench in the works here. The right muscle body doesn't exist yet for the average guy who is not too slim but not too buff. Any choice that will be "close enough" will not really be close enough. But this has been going on for a long time because the void for guys with that build has not been filled yet. People have been putting Dexters, Ricks and a bunch of others on the 19 for a while because there were no other options and it never looked 100% right.

I think that Denny should really get aggressive in making his own line of bodies. Iminime is one of the few players that are in the position to make this a reality. Denny is the man when it comes to listing to the voice of the crowd and sorting everything out to make a good call.

I think Iminime should consider stepping up to the plate and filling the void of the 3-4 body types that the market is badly missing

The Kaustic was so close but yet so far with that attempt. He upper body proportions are exactly what we're missing in the market but they F'd that body up with bowed legs, horrible skin tone and a really bad attempt at sculpting the veins

Yes they do buddy. We all know Denny's had some frustrations with finding the right body's. I know he's talked about Iminime working on a body, I just hope that there's multiple size/body types. I'd also like to see a few options for height too, or include some new variations of longer foot pegs. Im sure it would really help his costs too if he's able to produce them in house. Isn't rainman working on one too, or are they on producing a body together?
