I also sent her reference of the full outfit. Got help from cking. I let her know what you guys thought hopefully she gives more options and maybe we can take a look at pleather materials to see if there is anything better.

The shirt definitely seems like it lies between 2 and 3. Here’s two photos of screen worn shirts. They both looks different but are allegedly both from Raiders. The first is from https://www.thepropgallery.com/raiders-of-the-lost-ark-indiana-jones-harrison-ford-shirt
The second is from https://www.invaluable.com/auction-...-used-indiana-jones-shirt-f-1566-c-6b642ecb72

The jacket is definitely a dark brown, but it’s not so dark it’s black. The dark coloring comes from oiling and weathering that Iris obviously won’t be doing but shouldn’t be out of the realm of what any of us can do. Also the texture needs to be kept as smooth as possible as it wasn’t so much texture on the jacket as it was the roughing(I think I read with steel wool and Fords knife lol). The color of that jacket that CK used as a guide looks pretty good. The swaths provided look darker than that.

The texture is absolutely important, which is why I was asking what size those swatches are as the texture may not translate well to 1/6.

Sent her all these references before. I let her know of the feedback of the shirt color and leather. Plus it doesn't have to be real leather but it's an option. Hopefully she brings some regular jacket material that can work just as well.

I believe these leathers are the best she could get. Again i rather the jacket drape like the film over being thick and not sized well. Plus hoping the reference for the shirt helps.

Also after reviewing the images for the shirt option 2 is best in terms of color. Usually it depends on the light in film so this could be the case with the fabric. Do you guys agree.

Have to agree about the dark brown for the jacket. Seems to match the weathered charcoal color of the screen jacket pretty well, and better than some of the lighter browns I've seen used on other customs. And it should be easy enough to add some lighter weathering in places (along the seams, etc), to match the movie.

I have faith in Iris' judgment. Without seeing them in-hand, I really can't say which of the materials is the best.

Of the jacket fabric choices, you should go for the thinnest of the three dark browns.

For the shirt, #2 is the closest but could use a bit of a gray tint.

As I said before, the pants are spot on.

Told her to keep the pants color as is she got it right the first go. Hopefully she gets back to me on leather for the jacket

Been a while since I’ve been on here. Strange it doesn’t notify me of new updates on threads.
As for the jacket swatches I think color-wise it should be a dark brown. #3 or #4 imo. But it should be a tiny pinch lighter and more brown.
From looking at CKing’s pictures, if you look on the back of the jacket, the dark areas that look almost black/brown are areas that sweat/dirt/oils on the body would normally pool and stain clothes over long periods of time. (I.e. the middle of the back, and the rear deltoids) the other parts that get a little lighter over time, would of course be the thicker, bigger protruding muscles of the back, the lats. Which makes sense because when you’re leaning with your back against a wall, those areas would see the most contact and rubbing over time.
Because it gets lighter I think it shows an indication of the truer color more, to be a more browner hue of the dark chocolate swatches Iris provided.
As for the swatch size, I really hope the grains or the bumps in the leather don’t show up so prominently on the actual 1/6 jackets as it did on the swatches... don’t want Indy looking like he’s wearing dinosaur skin haha!

I would MUCH rather have real leather, if possible. It looks so much better than pleather, will last forever and would make this run truly special.
