Nice!

Nice. How do you like them compared to the other options out there? I still need to get mine painted.

*shrug* I think they look great on the figure, but they're the only boots I have, so I can't offer a comparison. I built my Indy around this clothing run, I didn't have one prior that I was upgrading or anything.

Stiffen qwik......not something that I would recommend on the outside of the jacket.

Absolutely fine on anything it can absorb into (great on my temple of doom shirt for example), but I originally used it on my yunsil jacket....and had mild heart failure when it started to look white in patches like I had put latex glue all over it.

Fortunately, I eventually managed to peel it away without actually damaging the jacket, but use at your own peril!

Actually Jacob Used stiffen quik on my Yunsil jacket and it looks superb. And I used the same tactic for the Iris. Sounds like you sprayed too much. Happens when theres a lot of "build up"

Yeah, it was after I'd read that Jacob had used it on yours that I went for it!
I really didnt use much though as I was being very careful (too expensive for me not to be). I think it really needs to absorb to be effective, and it can't absorb into the jacket.
Perhaps he used it on the inside of the jacket?

Either way, I certainly wouldn't do it again. Just noting it here so that others don't need to find out the hard way should they get the same result.

He did both inside and out. And walked me through what I needed to do for my Iris. I had put too much on initially too. But it rubs off with water.

About two layers should do it. And then weathering. Then a sealer dull coat to seal it.

What happened to the real leather boots someone was going to make for all of us?

TonTon, the boot maker is "Striped Box". Her name is Tatiana. I contacted her the other day about it, and she put me down on an interest list. I'm sure the more people that contact her, the quicker the project will happen. She's on FB & IG. I have a Daryl Dixon pair from her, and they're amazing. She's great with communication and timeframes too.

This. Best thing to do to show interest I'm also on the list. I've sent her enough reference for the boots. They will be the hollow type for 1/6th feet.

Thanks Rmsceb, I'll reach out and express interest, maybe it'll help get the ball rolling. (y)

She's goanna do it, as it's been something she was interested in since I brought it to her attention, and we spoke on it. Though I believe she had already planned on making them. But it will be sometime later this year, once she has all her other stuff done she is good to go. But it doesn't hurt to tell her as she will put your name down for a spot. I'm excited to see what she does but it won't hurt to get some sculpted boots in the meantime.
