I also think the hair is the perfect color. The hot toys one was too dark and sideshow always painted or too light. This is spot on! Eye color great too.

Beautiful sculpt and paintwork. Definitely an improvement. But I'm not sure that the likeness is such an improvement from the stock one that I'll need to pick it up. . .decisions, decisions. . .

I'm actually feeling compelled just so I can have two sculpts from the same artist front and center on my Star Wars display.

And if you're looking to pick up this amazing sculpt and don't have a Luke figure to stick it on, then here comes So Toys to the rescue! Great timing guys!! :clap

Or, you could buy the legit figure itself at retail cost, and not support recasting/counterfeiting bums like that:

I'm sure 99% of the folks here do own the HT figure, though? It certainly is worth the money in this day and age, where SSC is trying to sell their figures for the same cost. That's the cost of high end collecting. And unlicensed though it may be, the Jnix sculpt is not counterfeit/recast junk, that is widely condemned on the boards. It's a beautiful, hand sculpted work of art, the like of which is widely encouraged and supported on the boards. Important distinction.

For me, Jnix sculpts have been so good that it's made me buy figures I wasn't planning on. I already have a large set of the Sideshow SW figures, but just HAD to buy HT Han for the new sculpt. By proxy I then bought Leia. Next I'm going to buy Chewy and, of course, Luke. So, by this artist bringing out superior sculpts, it's made me show support and pay money back to the license. Ironic.

I'm in that 1% then! I'm using the Sideshow gear.

And I don't seem to recall any widespread condemnation of that MJ Choi Indy recast on the Indy Customisation forum - in fact many of the main contributors on that thread bought the sculpt and proudly posted a large number of photos of it! Still, what would I know...

I think seeing the head on a body will really be the final tilt on the scale like it was for the Han Solo sculpt.

If we can please see the head on the Farm Boy body, or any kind of Luke body.. that would be awesome.

HT Luke is easily worth 200 bucks with all the accessories, etc... And if it wasn't for HT we would all still only be dreaming of the standard they have set...

I'd like to see this on a Luke body. It's certainly an improvement but for me the face is too strong generally, especially the chin, and the way the eyes are painted doesn't convince me. So I probably won't be getting it, although I'm sure I'll regret it. However, I think it's great that Jnix took account of comments here and tweaked it.

I always thought the the best Luke likeness was on the Trevor grove sideshow stormtrooper head. And while I never hated on the hot toys head it was obviously an improvement as far as today's standards of realism went. With this head I see a lot of resemblance to that Luke stormtrooper head but wirh hot toys realism. I.e the best of both worlds.

It's not as big an improvement over the original as Han but that's because han was so much worse of a head.

You all asked for this to be jnix next head and he delivered. In strides. I say you because i wasn't itching to improve Luke but obviously I'll take an improvement. Over anything...

For me Star Wars is top. So if there's something that's the better version of something my money is spent to get it the absolute best. It not about one figure it's about parts of the best to make the overall best outcome. Cost is not an issue.

I really like the revisions you've made to the sculpt, Jnix. I think the only critique I have now is with the paint. Could you paint the eyes looking slightly upward and enlarge the pupils? Also, Lukes eyebrows were quite bushy, almost like a unibrow. I've made a quick, rough Photoshopped image with larger pupils and bushier eyebrows to give you an idea of what I mean. The only thing I couldn't do with photoshop was raise the eyes to look upward.

I see where you're going with that, but keep in mind those pupils are going to be close to infinitesimal at 1/6 scale.
