Not many folks are gonna read every post in 17 pages.

I understand after re-reading the first post, but it's not super clear of the process if you're a newb.


For us Newbs:

1) He asks for interest on the sculpt.

2) Once enough 'interests' are received, he proceeds to "green light" status. *Interest list is closed*

3) He builds/sculpts etc

4) He announces "Up for pre-order". THEN you pay for one [or more] and are on the list to get one. Then and only then are you getting one. This is why you should 'subscribe' to the thread.

This correct?

So, in other words, he had overwhelming interest and couldn't maintain the list any more. So, he decided to just not bother with the interest list and work on a first come, first serve basis.

As soon as he announces he's done in here and orders are open, it will be just about sending payment.

You have to understand that because of that, quite a few of us have signed up for email notifications. So, every time someone posts in this thread, we all get emails.

I know that, that's why I'm trying to help clarify

The wording isn't super clear [English not first language maybe]. Would be clearer to have said "Interest list now closed" in bold part.

I know people not on the first page list won't agree, but I would prefer it if people on that list took priority - the whole first come first served thing will mean that you're making a payment but won't find out for a little while whether you've been successful; it also means those of us in different time zones may be at a disadvantage. Personally I would also like a short window to move money around if it's necessary at the time - say, 24 hours. It might be the best thing if Jnix was to reopen the interested list up until now giving everyone on it a shot but declare it closed from that point on?

Top right corner, click on "thread tools," and click on subscribe to thread. Then after that you can use the "quick links" drop down and view all your subscribed threads to see new comments, rather than bouncing around from section to section.

I agree with you 100% Tom - I'm No. 14! ! I'll be mightily pissed-off if I miss out on this sculpt because I can't get my payment to Jnix within minutes of it going up for pre-order!!

I think the most recent few posts are mis-characterizing how this process will work a bit.

As soon as Jnix updates post #1 with his proto sculpt, pricing details, and likely the edition number of the run (painted and unpainted), he will re-open the thread for orders.

Then we scurry like mad-men to announce our intent to purchase! Jnix will then update the order list on post #1 to include a numbered list of orders to fill. Only after all of this is published will he call for payment...

So its not as if anyone would need to pay sight unseen, or even pay the moment you put your name on this list. That's not how Han worked. If you're on the final list and decide you can't/won't pay, the next in line gets the slot (or I suppose you could designate the person you want to have your slot - as that did happen last time).

So its not as if we need to have bankers standing by 24 hours a day to process funds or anything like that :lol.

What WILL likely happen though, is that the order of the interest list will not impact the order of the confirmed order list. Those two events are separate, for better or for worse.

NOW, let me make a personal request out of selfishness and general self-interest... STOP ADVERTISING THIS PROJECT IN THE OPEN FORUMS!! Those of us interested have done our homework and are ready to pounce. As heartless as it may seem, getting this piece is going to be hard enough without soliciting a larger and large crown to push the rest of us out!! :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl
