IM soooooo in for this... the Lecter is just waiting in a pile on the corner for this gurney, until I have it I don't even have any motivation to do any other mods to it!

i will be buying robbie's gurney, i will say though i also own the one davinator had made.... i would think the cost would be the same....i dont think robbie can sell these for under $250... even 300+ a tad......just too many intricate things to tend with...not trying to dash your hopes fella's, but i would think you should start thinking upper 250+ range and easily more... easilly..... not trying to rian on the parade, but just letting my fellow freaks know this is a big accessory,,,,get the $170 figure out of your thinking... i might be wrong,,, but when robbie is ready he will let all of us know.... and of course the more that buy the better for us... unless its very limited?

Only limited in time not quantity. There will be a deposit though. Im really hoping to stay in the $200s. Anything below that is not going to happen. All depends on the way in which I connect the metal joints. Im looking into several solutions now, but almost all require a sizable investment on my part in hopes it works. Im planning it all out in my head before I jump right in. Like the other pieces Im working on, I want this to be the definitive dolly/gurney.

No 2.0s.

Just so you guys are aware, I'm looking at making all of this out of aluminium with hard solder joints. This will keep me from having to paint it and it will be really strong. I was originally going to make it out of brass which I have a lot of experience using but then I would have to deal with color and brass doesn't take paint well. The aluminium has the right brushed look and is completely stable. If I were to go with steel I would have to deal with rust and stainless is too hard to work with. In the next week or so i will be doing a mock up with brass to get the size right so stay tuned for more info.

sounds great robbie, i know what you mean by the 2.0's,,, get it done right the first time and be done with it....quality material from start to finsih is fine by me...i understand all about the cost and labor.... in the $200's would be awesome.....:clap

All sounds GREAT Robbie. I;m counting on you bro. I know as soon as i get your gurney it will make me like the figure a little more. I'll have motivation to fix his mask as much as I can, work his straightjacket. It might not be perfect but it will pass and irregardless I'll have your gurney forever.

Would you consider offering or sculpting a better looking more accurate mask? I think it would go a long way to making the whole head and piece look better. It could be a more accurate shape which should be longer with a bigger mouth piece. And of course the paint could be way better. it could also be made out of a softer plastic so it can go on the head easier without worry and sit closer to his face.
