Opened the site. Ordered the duo. Cried a bit at the price hahaha will transfer the money now n probably shed a tear as well hehehe expensive but worth it

The figures are really great, but for me as mostly a prop collector, I cannot spend $1000 plus international shipping on a set of two 1:6 figures, no matter how much I like them. Good luck to anyone getting them.

Nice pics Wake. Joel looks solid. Ellie looks alright. I think I jumped to conclusions saying that she might be "Masterworks" best female figure though.
Thanks to "Masterworks" for taking on these figures. I do appreciate it. It's one of my most wanted videogame figure wants I've had since playing. With that said, I do not want my next comments to sound ungrateful to "Masterworks", & of course I know some things might still be a WIP, & I don't want to be a downer, but .....
I have this strange feeling, if things don't get tweaked on Ellie (logo on shirt too faded, shirt material, backpack colours .... etc), I'm going to personally feel underwhelmed by her. I keep comparing her to the Kai custom Ellie figure (well, upper body anyway), & I find myself being more impressed with that, & I wasn't even really into the Kai custom Ellie in the first place. I could have overlooked that other stuff, & the lack of accessories, if the painted sculpt was more impressive, but somehow I was more impressed with it unpainted I think.
I wanted to see Wakes pics before I commented further on the figures, & was maybe hoping for them to change my mind about her, but I still feel "iffy" about her.
Joel isn't perfect either, but it's such a nice looking figure anyway. Even with nitpicks I might have with the figure, it impresses me enough. I'm pretty excited about it, & I'd be happy if there was some surprise changes for the better. Something "Masterworks" sometimes does, which I think is cool. But I guess not something I should rely on when paying for a pre order.
I like the moody pics "Masterworks" & Wake took for the pre order, but I personally would have liked some normal well lit pics to show off the sculpts.
To be clear, I'm not trying to offend anybody. Simply giving some feedback.

I was going to get Joel's head only, but I think I'm going to pass on it completely. And Lawrence, Ellie is odd looking.

There will be improvements made to both figures. I've already compiled a list of things just from my experience with the figures. Denny always does his due dillegence to improve the figures. The material for Elle's shirt has already been discussed for instance.

I'm not denying quality by any stretch, they look very very professional. I just think if Ellie had more freckles, the likeness would come through more. I think Joel's head is pretty damn close, I can't see improving it anymore.

I think an iris size increase might benefit the likeness. I used Paint to edit the pic :lol
Together with adding freckles & making the eye colour really stand out. I think it might look closer to Ellie.
Either that, or moving the eye position maybe?
Viewing the sculpt as is from an angle looks alright, but front on it looks kinda weird. Maybe with a larger iris, the angled & front view might both look nicer.
Throwing some amateur suggestions out there, that might be an easy fix for "Masterworks"
