If Tess is still alive you are only 1/6th into the game so yeah you should probably give it more time. In fact are the infected clickers or runners?. Also what difficulty level did u choose? Might wanna try a harder one.

Maybe that is the point. I might give it another try. I am playing at normal level. Maybe thats the issue.

They are mostly runners, but also a few clickers. I was killed by one when I tried to knock him out. Not the best way to defeat a clicker.:lol However I just found a Revolver so I know its meaning now. ;-)

Hey, sorry thought i replied. That's unlikely to happen. Simply because the paint rubs off the hands way too easily due to the plastic composition.
