I think the visuals, the post apocalyptic world, how nature takes back and mashes wilderness with civilization is truly a work of art. They REALLY pushed PS3's engine here and it's nuts, arguably the best looking game this gen so far, not sure how GTAV will be but either this or that will claim best looking game this gen. The gameplay seems familiar but the story and interaction between Ellie and Joel just puts this one on top of any game I have played, including UC series and RDR.

I've got to say that, as far as likenesses go, I think that artists will have a lot less leeway with these than with video games in the past, and I think that's a testament to just how fantastic the graphic capabilites of this game actually are. If you look at the GTA III figures, and even some of the Red Dead stuff, there's a lot of guess work involved in bringing these video game characters into the real world, but these characters' appearances are just as solid as any actor's likeness, and I really do think that, unlike previous VG releases, where it's open to interpretation, there will be a clear victor, in this case. The question is: Who will it be?

I think you are spot on there. :exactly:

What I will say though, although I am eager to see these, I think Kai has already nailed the perfect Joel.

It looks really good, but I won't say perfect, just yet. Too many times have I said that about something and something else came along and proved me wrong.:lol I love that people are having options for this game, though. I couldn't think of a more deserving title. By far, one of the most compelling experiences I've had, in any media, in the past few years.

I am not a big fan of the Kai sculpt. It is a great sculpt don't get me wrong but not Joel from the game. I like how Commando's is turning out but I feel Iminime will deliver the total package on these two.

I'm in semi-agreement. I think Commandos is perfect, but I think IDM will deliver the most complete Joel and Ellie after seeing their Uncharted figures. I'll be getting theirs and popping on the Commando sculpt though.

I am glad to see that there are also other artists trying to tackle The Last of Us characters. I picked up the official art book and it is loaded with a lot of great reference shots. Denny you may want to try and pick one up. I also really need to play through the game a second time.

So, i finished the game yesterday and i can't say that i loved it. I liked it, it was a really good game, great even but not excellent. And i felt no particular attachment to the characters so i can't drop 600-700 dollars on each. Thus i would like to be out if possible. I'm sorry for the inconvinience. I just didn't feel something different by the time i had completed this game and it was pretty predictable to tell you the truth. BI remains my game of the year and while TLOU gave it a run for it's money, it started good then became great but ultimately fell flat towards the end.

Im not sure if a body has been discussed for Ellie yet but the Hot Toys Babydoll or Amber body might do the trick if modded in the chest area.
