Men of Madison Avenue - Roger Sterling and Draper (Revisited) by ROCCO

Hey guys, another interest thread... this time for the Men of Madison Avenue...

I'm going to commission Rocco to sculpt Don Draper and Roger Sterling.

There's already a Trevor sculpt on the market but they are hard to come by and I'm not sure the likeness is %100.

Here are the reference images I'd would wanna work from...

Draper - stern look

Sterling -

Alternate Smoking sculpt with cigarette hand too.

The price breakdown is like this...

Draper $75
Sterling (Smirking) $75
Sterling (Smoking) with additional Hand w/ring sculpt for holding cigarette $100

There's a great suiting option being offered by Kato, and I'm sure we can also convince him to use the same pattern to create a suit for roger. Thread here.

Anyway I need to get at least 10 people interested per sculpt and a $25 deposit from everyone once we are ready to go. Rocco works fast!

I think Rocco will have a hard time topping Trevor's Don, but I'm curious to see how these all turn out!

Oh, and I hate that first "stern" pic of Don, it looks nothing like Jon Hamm to me. Which is weird I know, because it's him, but I've always thought that of that pic. :lol

You wanna see sculpts before you show interest? I'm not collecting the $25 deposit until i have at least 10. I would think you'd want sterling for your Don.

Actually I'm content with Don representing Mad Men in my collection. Plus, Roger would require an entirely new Kato-quality suit to stand next to Don, imo, and that's going to be tough to pull off. Don suit barely happened, and he's the numero uno.

I know Kato is usually willing to use existing patterns. I'm wondering if the Wayne 3-piece pattern could work for roger.

i am sure kato could pull this off, but like marf says, the don suit "almost" didnt happen. for sure sterling will not...wich stinks, but its probably a reality..

You also have to check the tailoring. I would love to get a Draper sculpt as I missed Trev's and get on the list for Kato's suit, but I know Kato tailored the suit specifically for the sculpt, and I am a huge fan of Rocco, but his sculpts run a tad on the larger side, which would be very noticeable on a suit as precise as Kato's.

They are similar styles. Maybe a blue navy With the right pocket square and tie!

Interested in Sterling as I already have a Trevor Draper head- but I may interested in a Draper too if it's really good.

Looks like i might to foot the bill on the sculpt as everybody is in wait and see mode.

Btw spoke to Kato. He would do a suit if I can gather up 20 people. (He'd prob do it with ten).

Unfortunately what body would we use???

Closest body type is too skinny I feel. Otherwise I don't doubt Rocco can sculpt it. Helps that her hair is sculpted material.
