A good idea for the hair might be to ask Johnny (Cheungkinmen). He used real hair for his Oldboy figure and it came out really good.

I think a good thing to consider for the hair also is that Wonka's hair isn't curly like the RM release, it's more matted than anything and brushed sideways (more like the jokers than anything), it's also teased on the left side to stick out more. Really this just needs something like tibetan lambs wool to do it.

Thank you for bringing that up! The super curly rainman hair always bugged me in pics. Full curls make it look clownish.

You can buy hair that exact colour and wavy is exactly like in the film
And you get loads for your money too.
Hairing is very easy to do , just time consuming as you can't do them like on a production line
You must do one whole head and then the next and so on.
Each one takes a few hours to add hair and style it.

About time you joined this thread man soon as your our painter aha! Good to have you on board and look forward to seeing the proto paint ups...... Waiting for rocco to reply so I can get this going.

As for the hair that's awesome have you ever haired a sculpt before Jay?

Yes I have haired many sculpts and am starting my Myers in the next week or so.
But like I said it takes ages to do each sculpt , it does not matter if you have done 1000 of them they don't get
Any quicker as you need to let glue dry and what not.
The rainman noodle hair always bugged me too.

Is the sculpt hatted or are you giving the option with a removable hat?
Not that it matters just wondering.

Also I have just looked at Rocco's thread , the head has sculpted hair?
Or has all this changed now?
As it will save a lot of money by painting the sculpted hair.
But once the real hair is put on it is on there forever.

The head was bald I believe and the hair pieces were sculpted for those who wanted sculpted hair so you could have either :)
I'd be curious to see you hair and paint it as a proto I might grab an extra head for the proto and have the sculpted hair glued and painted.

I didn't know you haired sculpts.
I guess you'll be away from the world for a few days surrounded by hair :rotfl
The hat is removable :)

I have seen him signed on many times, but no answers to PM's. Not cool, at least give an update. How much longer until we have to look for another sculptor?

This is too my case and the same for the guys who have the pirate sets...... Incase of an emergency I've asked Shaun dabbs to be a back up sculpter as he does great work! Hopefully doesn't come to that but I'm sure as hell not letting you guys down!
He sent me a pm about a week or so ago saying he was going to get the ompa cast since then I've had no replies. Hoping everything is ok. :/

You want this set you are going to get this set! :)

I actually wanted this set but with the pirate sets taking so long it has kind of turned me off.

I'm ready to work I'm waiting on Bernad2002 to finish the final vest pattern and then I can order that but as for the rest of the stuff I have all that now ready for the seamstress. But she need's the Ompa body.

This sent won't be as long as that because I'm in charge I've got back up's all round sculpter and if our seamstress can't do it then Yunsil said she would do it but that would cost more. Beside's I like our current seamstress she's very helpful. :)

Are you sure about that?

Yep 100% she'd have to tweak it a lil so it wasn't the same which means maybe doing a slightly diffrient vest pattern but she said she'd do it. But I'm more than happy with our current seamstress and look forward to seeing her work! :)

This was before I found our seamstress

"that's right....you understood.

It maybe very similar to the one I did previously.

but I have another way.

that is change the metrial.

but that is similar too.

vest pattern"

I hope that's not the case... This sculpt looks pretty good...and I already paid the deposit with rocco.....I am sure there are legit reasons... we just need to wait it out a little.
