Hi Nat, I'm not sure if this is a language barrier, but a black list is very negative. It means I am a cheater or a bad person who you do not want to deal with in the future. If that is what you mean, then I'm not sure that is the right business model.

Isn't this an interest thread? Is asking to be removed really means to be "banned"?

In the time I've been here I've never fallen as low as being on some sort of black list.

I can understand the frustration. People say please add me, and then Nat has worked out time and cost of X amount of people based on the interested members - then to have only half commit. This is hard as the unit cost is cheaper based on the numbers interested.

Yes, it was only and interest list and no body has to follow through. The black list may be a bit extreme. It is a tough situation as far as the cost based on numbers thing goes though.

I bought the agent figure and was the first to express interest on this figure, but its been 6 months and interest change (just look at the number of people selling "grails" few months after acquiring them)...

I guess I'm on the blacklist, so doesn't matter anymore. Good luck Nat, great projects, but the blacklist concept doesn't work one way.

Yes,
Timing of things does change how you feel about a project for sure.
I don't think you are on a blacklist. i think Nat was just hoping to 'persuade' members in paying so more could be sold - unit cost v profit thing.

Based on the 2 pm's I've gotten warning about being blacklisted and the "Vareika (blasklisted)" note in the interest list (After I politely opted out), I'd say I'm pretty darn blacklisted.

I'm not a experience user at this forum, I'm apologize if my workout and wordings are not good enough. i believe this forum market is just want to share the happiness of custom and unique 1/6 figure stuff for interested collectors. The general order processes are on trust basis to workout. while please understand all handmade are cost and time consuming. It will be hard to workout new custom item anymore to you guys if someone give up there orders without any deposit. How can i afford the cost for a large project like The Enemy?

I'm not blaming but just want you guys understand my hard feeling right now....

Please please understand and pay if your have ordered my item or in the coming future.

Hey Nat,

I think you should make enough for the people who pay deposits, obvious there will be people who might flop near the end of the project but if you make enough for the people who pay deposit, everyone is happy. Whoever wants to jump on the ship later on, put them down for a waitlist or a second run...I think that's the best way to do it. A no money down interest is very tempting and people will just slap their name on it and forget about it later on, I think it's best to produce enough numbers for the people who has money down on it. You won't lose customers to blacklist AND you might even be able to sell more if you drive up the demand by cutting off the supply for a while ;)

To chime in on the thread. When you create an interest thread it is normally considered just that "interest". In the future if you want to get a more sound commitment by asking for deposits I really don't see an issue. Though asking for a deposit before the figure is ready to produce I believe is against forum rules. And since the buyer has not seen seen the finished project, I think the deposit should be refundable if the buyer doesn't like it. But hey, that is just my opinion .:)
