That looks badass! Great job Dane. I don't know how anybody could complain that Kai's sculpt is too big looks absolutely perfect in your pics. Shirt looks awesome I won't lie I wasn't too impressed when I saw the original protos of this and the subsequent in hand pics but you've really made this look top draw.

The problem with Kais sculpt IMO is that it looks nothing like Joel.

Did the sandpaper remove the excess blood, or just add the weathering? If yours looked like that, I hope mine does as well.

Both, actually! My shirt looked just like Barbossa's, for a frame of reference.

That looks incredible Dane. :rock

Thanks, Tim!

Thanks, man, I am extremely happy with how the figure is coming together. :)

Which body is that Marf? Looks like the POP HT body, but could be wrong. Trying to decide which to use for mine and leaning towards the POP body for the sake of the hairy arms and rubber neck etc.

I think the shirt overall is good, and if mine comes looking like yours, I wont have any issues (minus the weathering you have done obviously as I would have to do my own). But if it comes with blood over 80% of it, it wont be what I wanted. fingers crossed, one more day and I can pick it up.

How are people finding the pants? Are they being used? Backpack and shirt are really the only 2 items I wanted for this but I will use the pants if decent.

The body is a HT Royce body, very similar to the TTM19 but I think it's a tiny bit bulkier in a few areas. The difference is negligible, though. I'm sure you'll be able to get your shirt to look like mine. About the pants, I'm planning to use them. They need to ride pretty high on the waist to look right, but I like them. I should have the figure finished by the middle of next week and will take some decent pics of the whole shebang. :)

Great work Dane. I'm gonna do that with mine too. Came out perfect.

Thanks, Seb! :rock

It is the TTM19. The hair are sculpted but not painted. Dane made a light weathering on the arms which makes the hair stand out more.

:lecture

wow that looks great marf great job

:duff

I see a lot of Joel in this sculpt but I guess it's just a matter of opinion

Oh wow ok. Thanks for letting me know. That means if I am unhappy with the blood it is salvageable. It is such an excellent shirt, just didn't like the excessive blood. Got plenty of light grade sandpaper here so will give it a go when I pick it up tomorrow. Doesn't seem like sanding it had any bad effect on the shirt colour or pattern either which is impressive. Thanks.

Re: Natchan Custom Clothes Set for The Last of Us. Final pics at P.1 Updated at P.9!

Got mine today. Overall pretty happy. Mine doesn't look as bloody as some others have. The blood is there but it is faded and not standing out too much against the colour/pattern of the shirt. I will weather it a bit more, and then I think it will be perfect. I think with the weathering it also needs some touching up in the seams etc, where the paint didn't reach but would be dirty in real life.

Probably a bit too much blood coloured weathering on the bag, since it stays a pinkish colour, but an easy fix. The bag is excellent. Very well made.

The overall detail and quality of the items is great. The pants are a bit long, but I could probably get the missus to shorten/hem them.

Can anyone recommend a safe way to soften the shirt without affecting the finish or damaging the Velcro? Shirt is very stiff but surely can be softened. I am leaving the Velcro in mine for now as I am unsure of how else I could connect the shirt. It is strong enough Velcro and hides fine when done up properly.

Pretty happy Natchan. My first custom clothing purchase and I am not disappointed.

Hey willy, one of the benefits of sanding the shirt is actually that it softens it quite a bit

Re: Natchan Custom Clothes Set for The Last of Us. Final pics at P.1 Updated at P.9!

Thanks Marf. Do you sand any particular way to weather it safely and evenly rather than wear a hole eventually in the fabric? I assume just use little pieces and move it around plenty on the flat surface.

I just held my hand under the portion of the shirt I was working on and sanded away until I was happy with how it looked. I felt like having my hand as the surface allowed me greater control over the pressure. I was also careful to go easy on the areas with thread for obvious reasons. Just take it slow and you should be fine. :)

Re: Natchan Custom Clothes Set for The Last of Us. Final pics at P.1 Updated at P.9!

Great advice. Thank you.

edit:

So I followed Marf's instructions, and it was spot on. Within 5 min I had the majority of the weathering/blood where I wanted it. It came off very easily so those of you with too much blood can fix it within minutes. It does also soften the shirt up as suggested.

Still having trouble getting the shirt to sit properly and low, but if I soften it a bit more it should be alright. Also be careful around the buttons, as they are lightly glued on. I ended up regluing mine with superglue carefully to get a better bond.

Looking good Marf, I'm going to get that Pipe eventually off Maisto. I'd buy the shirt from Natchan if he offered it separately.

Thanks! Maisto's stuff made Joel possible at this point, I love it. I have my eye on the iminime sculpt, if it looks better than Kai's once it's painted I'll definitely make the swap!

Does Iminime sell sculpts separate? They do full figures right?
